I met up with one of my good friends for a coffee shortly after my birthday and she looked stunning! You know that feeling when you realised this isn't just a coffee and you should have made a bit more effort than throwing on an old pair of jeans, converses and a top lol. One of the items she had on was these boots and she said to me they were really comfortable and gave her a nice bit of height! Once she told me she bought them online from H&M I made it my mission to try and get a pair!
The boots costs £29.99 in store, but are half price = £14.99 online as a special offer. Wanting to make a bit of a savings, I went to my local H&M store to try them on and figure out what size I should buy online. I generally wear a size 5 (European 38) but seeing as it is winter I am wearing quite thick socks at the moment and has H&M don't do half sizes this took a bit of battling to try and find an adequate fit. They didn't have a 5 in the black, so straight away I tried on a size 6. These fit perfectly, and walking up and down, they didn't slide at the back nor did they slop about. These boots also come in grey which is a more suede material and so I tried thee on in a 5 but it was far too tight so I knew 6 was the size for me. A half size probably would have been perfect but the 6 felt comfortable to walk in so I was happy with my decision.
I set about buying them online and since they arrived I have been wearing them with pride! They are not real leather, but have a good quality look to them that from far away you can't tell too much. To put them on they slide on, but have elasticated sides so make for an easy shoe to glide on and kick off. They come up around the ankle which I find gives a bit more support and they mask my skinny ankles really well if I wear them with dresses and also are neat enough to be worn with jeggings/leggings easily tucked inside.
The boots have a 9cm platform heel and a 1cm thick heel under the front of the shoe. These really don't feel high at all and I can walk in them with ease and prance around looking stylish but still with lots of comfort. The upper is imitation leather which still looks and feels good quality, and the soles are made of rubber and whilst not the most durable material, I find them to be quite anti-slip as I have worn them in the rain and had no problems whatsoever.
The best things about these boots is that they are so versatile, they look good and are easy to go with any ensemble. These are now one of my new every day boots but I can also still wear them out to dinner in the evening and feel quite dressed up. Overall I love these boots and I'm so glad my friend told me where she got hers! I would definitely buy them all over again, and be slipping them on all throughout winter, and hopefully through to next year. They are quite cheap, but even cheaper since I got them online! Delivery is £3.90 so altogether you are saving about 10 quid against buying them instore. They seem to be currently out of stock/low on most sizes on the website but keep checking back as they re-stock them all the time!
