Havaianas Slim Orient
Advantages: last forever
Disadvantages: maybe the cost?
What can I say - try a pair of Havaiana's and you'll never buy any other flip flops again!
Havaiana's are the flip flops to end all flip flops. I currently own three pairs of Havaiana's. My first pair is in a metallic bronze colour, and I've had them for around 5 years. My second pair is in a metallic blue colour, and I've had for them for around 2.5 years. And my most recent pair which are just 6 months old are these Havaiana's Slim Orient.
I decided to get a patterned pair of Havaiana's this time as my previous two pairs are plain. These are gorgeous, they have navy blue slim flip flop straps with a gold 'insect' detailing at the point where the flip flop straps meet the toe post, and they have a colourful oriental type pattern on the sole of the footbed.
The only reason I bought a third pair is because these seemed to be winking at me! there is still loads of life left yet in my first two pairs. My first two pairs are actually still in perfect condition, they still look virtually as good as new, they haven't discoloured, they haven't even worn down on the sole at all.
Havaianas may seem quite expensive for a pair of flip flops at around £20.00 - £25.00, my Slim Orient's were £25, but they are fantastic quality and they are built to last, you will wear these flip flops for years and years to come, whereas a cheaper pair of flip flops may cost less but will probably fall apart long before your Havaiana's.
Havaianas come in a wide range of colours, you can get matt colours, metallic colours, two tones and many different patterned prints. I love my Slim Orients as they are that little bit different to my plain colours, they look good with navy skinny jeans as they are predominantly navy blue, however they also look good with leggings or short skirts and dresses, or maxi dresses.
Havaiana's are really very comfortable, the sole is quite thick so that they are suitable for walking on any terrain, you won't feel all the lumps and bumps under your feet, in fact it is like walking on air. They have a textured pattern on the footbed of the sole, so that your feet don't slip and slide around when you are wearing them, no matter how hot and sticky your feet may get. Another good thing about Havaiana's is that they don't smell ever, no matter how sweaty your feet have been your Havaiana's won't smell. None of my three pairs smells at all, and one pair is 5 years old. The rubber straps and toe post between your toes are built to last and are really really comfy, they do not rub at all. The rubber straps don't lose their shape either, the straps don't get loose at all.
I don't even know that I'm wearing these flip flops. They are as light as a feather and they will last and last. They are brilliant quality, and really good value for money. Buy a pair, you won't regret it.
