I must start by saying that I like Hunter wellingtons, however, a pair never last me more than 6 to 9 months these days. The original pair I bought, many years ago, lasted several years and I absolutely loved the, style and comfort; they really do fit like a glove. Unfortunately, the more recent ones do not seem to have the same build quality. The problem is that the seams split open and the heels wear down very quickly. As the latter are hollow this allows water to seep in through the sole.I should add that I only wear them for dog walking across fields so they don't get really heavy treatment. I am afraid that despite loving the product I am going to need to find a more robust boot.

Introduction: Hunter wellies have become very popular in the last 3 years and have moved on from a wealthy middle class country staple, to a fashion lovers accessory. From summer festivals, to winter in the rain, they have made themselves a year round foot wear option. I tend to follow fashion and after pining after these for ... Read the complete review

I am the daughter of a farmer and as such spend a lot of time with our animals in the mud. I own several pair of welly boots and when Hunters started to get the media attention due to celebrities wearing them to music festivals I thought I would try them. I opted to buy a pair of Hunter Wellington boots in Original green as these would ... Read the complete review

When you can buy wellies for less than a tenner from the high street, at first thought, it seems difficult to understand why anybody would pay £40 for a pair of Hunters. As a country bumpkin, I spend a lot of my time trudging around in the mud. I have owned numerous pairs of wellies over the years and, to be honest, they've ... Read the complete review

My hunter wellies were one of the best investments I made. They're comfortable, fashionable and really well made. They are a solid colour rubber boot that comes up to your knee. They have a buckle on the side and the Hunter logo. They have a great sole which means they give you really good grip. I bought mine for walking about ... Read the complete review

I have had my Hunters for.. must be 5+ years now! I paid £40 for them which was a good price even then because when you can get wellies for a few pounds from the likes of Primark, Hunters can seem a bit steep. Admittedly these days they tend to live in the back of my car (long live the rise of the country boot) for those ... Read the complete review

I have been an avid user of Hunter boots for more years than I care to admit. Historically, I have come to expect my boots to last a good 7-10 years, with light to moderate use (minimum 1 hour per day dog-walking over rural footpaths, 7 days a week). However, my latest pair of Hunters last a week over their first anniversary. I sent a letter to Hunters, with photos of the cracks that appeared and their attitude was just staggering. They basically told me to sod off, the boots were out of warranty. Had their attitude been different, I might have put it down to a "bad" sample, but I know other people who have noticed a similar reduction in life expectancy. In view of Hunter's attitude, I'm not prepared to give them a second chance.

I have owned a pair of Hunters for many years because I have always ridden horses. I usually keep a pair of these in the boot of my car, a pair lasts many years as they are a quality, hard wearing brand - this is why they have a higher price tag than standard wellies. I paid £50 for my last pair from my local garden centre and so far I ... Read the complete review

I bought these after reading so many rave reviews on how much everyone loves them. However I have to say that I cant quite see what all the fuss is about. There is nothing wrong with these at all, they are comfortable to wear, they come in a huge range of colours and you can also buy special Wellington socks to go inside them to make ... Athough Hunter Wellington Boots appear to attract mixed reviews, for me they are probaly the best wellington boot on the market. i've used hunters for years because I have horses and as a practical boot, they really can't be beat. They're long lasting, comfy, practical, everything you want from a boot. I love the range of colours they come in and the welly socks are great to mix and match with, although they don't make them an awful lot warmer. I don't ... Read the complete review

I've always wanted to try a pair of Hunters but have bumbled along with cheap pair after cheap pair which are fine for occasional use but I have two very energetic labradors that need a good long walk over the fields everyday. I brought these wellingtons about a year ago, from John Lewis, for around £60 however I'm sure if you looked online you could buy these for a cheaper price. For some reason, my wife and daughter always seem to be able to wreck wellington boots with ease when we are all out in the fields etc on walks - probably on account that we have always tended to buy the cheaper makes of wellingtons because they never seemed to last long with them, and it didn't seem sensible to buy a more expensive ... Hunters are the classic welly boot and growing up as a member of the Pony Club you were not "in" unless you had Hunters.
