~*~*~ Iron Fist Fiesta Skull ~*~*~
Anyone who knows me knows that I simply love shoes, I have a fair collection of different styles, brands, heels, boots, flats. trainers, daps etc.. A quite recent addition to my collection were these amazing shoes from Iron Fist. They are girly and pretty but have an edge to them which I love.
~ What are they? ~
These are the Fiesta Skull heels from Iron Fist. They have a peep toe front and are quite high.
~ Why did I buy them? ~
These were a birthday present from my parents, I chose them but my mum paid for them, I had seen them online and longed for them for a good few months and was debating whether to buy these or a different pair and then my mum asked me what I would like for my birthday and it was these I chose. I openly admit to being a shoe-aholic, I am! I love how shoes can change and make an outfit, I could wear something really plain, which I often do and then pop my tootsies into a fab pair of heels and the look is transformed in an instant.
Heels may not be the most comfiest forms of footwear available but pain is beauty!
~ The shoes ~
Ahh, I love them, they are gorgeous, even the box they come in is lovely. The shoes themselves are quite different to some of the Iron Fist shoes available, these are not covered in gory zombiness but they are certainly edgy. They do have skulls on them but due to the pattern it isn't in your face and I find the colours, flowers and roses stand out more.
They are a satin like material which has a nice sheen to it, this is covered in an amazing pattern with pink and turquoise running through it, they have a large bow on the front and this is structured from a leather like material and the contrast between the fabrics makes the bow really stand out but also really brings out the brightness of the colours on the shoe.
They are pretty high and have a low 1" platform at the front with a rather high 5" heel on the back. I need all the help I can get in the heel department with me being just 5ft so I do tend to opt for higher heels, the higher the better. I don't find them difficult to walk in but if you are not used to heels then maybe you could start with something lower.
They are quite an in your face pair of shoes but they are lovely, they do make a statement I think.
~ Wearing them ~
I don't wear heels everyday as it's not practical for me but when I am going out somewhere, whether it be for a meal, out with girls etc I do dress up then, my style is quite minimalist, I don't really like to wear a lot of colour when it comes to clothing, I am more than happy to wear a black dress, jeans and a plain top with a blazer or something, and because I keep my clothing quite plain I do like to add a bit of funkiness with my footwear and these shoes are just perfect for that.
I can feel quite plain and boring when I am getting dressed and then I add the shoes and I am happy! There's no need to go mad with the colours in your clothing if you have awesome shoes to complete your look.
I get a lot of compliments when wearing these, people always stop to have a look and say how nice/cool they are and I just agree and say thank you because I know they are!
Even the soles have the added beauty of having a rose printed on the underneath which is something else for me to love about these.
I don't find them uncomfortable as such, but I wouldn't want to stand for hours upon end when wearing them, I would say on average I wear them from 7pm - 2am, but a lot of that time would be spent sitting down whilst having a drink with probably 2 maybe 3 hours of dancing, they don't give me blisters and my feet don't ache the next day. If they did I would still wear them anyway!
Thanks for reading :o) x
