      These are works of art

      Irregular Choice Future Ladybird

      **Price and availability**

These shoes are currently priced at £69.99 on the Irregular Choice website and are available in sizes 36 - 43 which according to cloggs. co.uk is a size 10!!!! It is also possible to get these shoes in some half sizes on the official Irregular Choice website - so if this is an issue for you then these are worth checking out...

These shoes are available in many on-line outlets (Shop around some are a little cheaper), and I have seen these shoes in Black, Red, Blue and Purple (I have the Black shoes - purchased from Shcuh)...

      **The Look**

I have to admit it took me a little while to justify buying these shoes - and they were my first venture into the world of Irregular Choice, I haven't looked back... After mulling it over for some time I had to purchase them. I have these in a size six (my usual shoe size)...

The shoe itself is made up of pleasing sections of polka dot material, a kitsch floral number and black suede effect sections... On the front of the foot, by the slightly pointed toe rests a little lady bird - which was what I couldn't quite resist...

Now imagine a shoe just a little like the ones worn by Minnie Mouse... Just a tiny bit wider over the toe than usual - the result is that you little toe will have just a little bit more space to wiggle. This means no blisters and makes them so much more comfortable than any other heel I have owned (even some flats)....

      **Wearing**

I LOVE these shoes, not normally being a fan of heels as I am rather clumsy these however manage to counter act my ability to fall over on flat floors... I think it's a combination of the slightly wider than usual heels, with the slightly wider toes that stop my wobbling... The heels look to me to be shorted than many at 8.5 cm according the the Irregular Choice website (that sounds really high to me but it's their official website so must be right)...

I should at this point mention I have now had two pairs of these shoes because I had a small wax related accident with my first... However they have worn well - my only gripe is the heels are covered in black PVC and I have on one occasion scratched this (thankfully on the first pair)... The shoes have worn well, and I have yet to need to re-heel them - which I put down the the slightly larger than usual heel surface...

On my first day wearing these into the office I was met with so many compliments, and at one point one of my shoes was being passed round all of the women to cries of oooh's and aaaah's - much to the amusement of Rob the token man in the department... Haha...

I personally feel they look better with skirts of all descriptions rather than trouser (although theymay look good with capri type pants), I have worn them with A line skirts, with and without petticoats and pencil skirts...

      **Packaging and Accessories**

As with all Irregular Choice shoes they make real efforts to make the whole purchase feel like a treat, and as such the soles of each shoe bear a beautiful design (These have the Alice in wonderland rabbit repeated pattern on the sole). Each pair of Irregular Choice shoes comes in a wonderful box, that is decorated in such a way that you won't want to part with it, and these were wrapped in yellow tissue that had little red hearts all over it. Each pair of shoes comes with spare heel tips, which is useful as it makes the first replacement free (saving you around £10)...

      **Drawbacks**

The soles may be beautiful, however the design is painted on, and will wear off... They can be little slippy as the soles have no real 'grip' to them (but only in the wet or on ice)...

      **Recommend??**

Would I recommend these to any one? Well I absolutely would. These shoes are the most beautiful shoes I have ever owned. They feel wonderful on my feet, and I have never fallen over in them. They never pinch my toes, and they make me happy. (I have been caught looking down at my feet in these and smiling at work by my boss)...

These shoes are a little more pricey than you'd pay for some from a cheap fashion store, but much cheaper than some stores have the nerve to charge, and no where near the designer prices that they deserve to charge for these works of art.

5* - but to be honest they deserve more.
