Ladies Ankle Flat Winter Warm Boots
I was looking around for a pair of cheap comfy and cosy boots something a bit sturdier than a slipper boot, so I can pop out to the garage or garden without ruining them. I didn't want to spend much money, but I still wanted something nice, that's when I noticed these ankle flat boots from Top Designer Clothing on Amazon.
Now that these boots have been worn in a bit they are comfy, but I wouldn't go walking about in these. When I first tried them on I was very disappointed because there isn't quite enough material over the toe sections and it was very tight, it felt as thou it was squashing my foot and toes down. The sole was also very rigid and it felt like walking around with wooden stakes attached to my foot. They did after a while get more comfortable, but I only use these to keep my feet warm and for around the house. I wouldn't wear these outside, I think any water would be through these in minutes. These in my opinion are a glorified slipper but they are in no way a winter boot!
These are short boots that more or less come up to just passed my ankle. They are really easy to slip on and are comfy when on (after you have worn them in a bit). They aren't big enough to tuck jeans into and they aren't really the best design for that anyway.
The soles feel really cheap, they feel like that hardened foam, the stuff that I more or less associate with cheap flip flops. I can easily press my nail into these and make a mark, again I doubt that these would last even minutes outside.
I did like that these boots were available in a range of colours, tan, black and grey. I went for the grey, They are a really nice shade of grey and I like that the faux fur lining is also a shade of grey. The colour goes great with a pair of jeans.
On the shoes there are sections where the glue is visible on the suede like material and sole, there are also sections where the sewing is far less than perfect. Overall these are quite badly made.
On Amazon's website these are on offer for £13.99 down from £29.99. Again this is misleading these boots look as though they should have been purchased for £5. This whole experience has made me much wearier of buying brands I don't recognise online, as it's difficult to tell from a photo whether you are getting a quality product.
I wouldn't recommend these to anyone, especially, if you are looking for a pair of outdoor boots. I am going to continue to use mine as slippers but I am already having a look around for a better pair, these were a bit of a disappointment. I also doubt that these will last that long.
I am only going to give these a two out of five stars. For my purpose as indoor boots/ heavier slippers they are fine but it is a bit misleading to call these winter boots. They aren't going to be any use as soon as they get a bit wet and they are very cheaply made. If I had ordered them as a winter boots then I would have very much begrudged even giving these a one star out of five.
