Despite having an office job I somehow seem to go through so many pairs of work shoes, my bosses are not strict at all when it comes to what we wear as long as we look smart so
I can get away with wearing any shoes I want, however I always go for a black pair as I find they go with anything and also they come in handy to wear outside of work. But for me when it comes to purchasing works shoes I always look for the cheapest ones I can. I was recently looking for yet another pair of work shoes when I came across a pair of Ladies Block Bow Heel shoes in my local Peacocks, this is a shop I often nip in to have a look at the work clothes as they do some nice things for work at very reasonably prices. The shoes although didn't haven't a heel as high as I would have liked were ideal for what I was looking for.
The Block Bow Heel shoes have a traditional court shoe appearance to them and simply slip on and off of your feet. The shoes are made from a black fabric which has an almost suede feel to it combined with leather, I really cannot describe that they are made of as I have never had a pair of shoes with this sort of feel to them before, they are neither leather or fabric but do feel soft to touch, the material also has a slight snake print, although this print is very faint and in no way over the top. The shoes have a rounded toe with a small bow on top, this is made from the same material that the shoes are made from. The shoes have a low chunky heel on them measuring at about 9cm, as I have said this is a bit lower than I would have liked as I prefer to wear high heels, although they do look very smart with my work trousers and skirts. The heel is also covered in the same fabric as the rest of the shoes, I did think this would wear quite badly on the heel especially as I drive in these, however I have had mine a few months now and the heel looks as good as new, in fact it has worn better than some more expensive shoes I have brought in the past.
The insides of the shoes although not overly padded do feel quite soft, the sides are made from a leopard print fabric with the inner sole being made from a shiny copper material, it does have the make of the shoe written across the inner sole in black lettering however this has started to wear off of mine and I can read what it says.
Despite the shoes being made from a soft fabric they do feel quite sturdy, there is stitching all around the edge of the shoes in black so that it does not stand out overly but gives the impression that the shoes are strong and long lasting. I quite like the slightly chunky heel, in the past I have always worn thin heels for work meaning I was forever getting them re-heeled, however the heel on my Block Bow Shoes looks as good as new and in perfect condition, it has not worn at all and there is no need for re-heeling, to be honest I think the shoes will wear out before they need heel, which is good for me as it saves me a bit of money.
I have worn the shoes nearly every day for 2 or 3 months now and they are showing no signs of wear and tear, they are in perfect condition, the outer fabric is not worn or scuffed at all and the backs of the heels have not worn from driving in them most days, so far they really have proven to be a hardwearing and tough pair of shoes.
As I have mentioned I brought the Block Bow Heels from my local Peacocks, I quite like getting shoes from here as generally they are reasonably priced and a bit cheaper than other high street shops, this particular pair of shoes cost me £16.50, these are not the cheapest shoes I have had from here, however they are well worth the money, I have not had to get them re-heeled and they are proving to be very hardwearing and long lasting, I think these shoes will last me quite a while for work, something that hardly happens with me when it comes to works shoes.
When I first tried on the Block Bow Heel shoes I was pleased that they felt comfortable straight away, there was no need to wear them in and stretch them slightly, they fitted perfectly and felt extremely comfortable, the edges did not rub my feet and the toes did not pinch either. I wear these shoes all day, every day for work now and they really are comfortable to wear all day without any problems or sore feet.
I would definitely recommend the Block Bow Heel Shoes, they come in a range of sizes, although this depends on how well stocked your local Peacocks in, you can however purchase them online in either black or red. These particular shoes are very versatile, they make an ideal pair of shoes for work, especially if you are on your feet all day, or on the other hand they are perfect for an every day pair of shoes. The heel on these shoes is a perfect height for anyone who does not feel comfortable wearing high heels, it is not too high but does give you that extra bit of height should you require it. The Block Bow Heels are very reasonably priced and have proved to be very hardwearing, I would certainly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for this type of product.
