      Western ankle boots.

I wanted some ankle boots that I could wear with leggings and I have seen a lot of Western Style boots around, so I decided to hunt various different websites in order to find a pair I liked at a reasonable price. The Boots = = = = = = The boots I am reviewing were purchased from www.boohoo.com and cost me £30 which I thought was reasonable. The boots have a Cuban heel and are western style which is exactly what I was looking for. The boots comes in Black or Brown but I purchase the black pair as I thought these would go with more outfits. The brown colour actually looked more of a grey colour and I didn't want grey boots. The boots comes in sizes 3-8 and currently have all of these sizes in stock. I vary in flat and heel sizes so I purchased a size 6 to be on the safe side which what I normally am in heels. I am normally a size 5 in flats. The boots are made from a synthetic material and they do have a slight smell to them when they first arrive. The material feels slightly plasticky but they have a matte looking finish to them and look slightly leather look. The boots have a stud detailed strap to them which goes across the front of the foot. I really liked this detail to the boots. The heel to the boots isn't very high so would be suitable for people who aren't used to wearing heels as it only measures about 3.5cm high. The bottom of the boots doesn't have much grip on them so you may want to get some soles put on them which do have more grip. This didn't bother me as I wouldn't be wearing them during slippery weather anyway. The boots are slip on and don't have a side zip. Wearing the Boots = = = = = = = = = = The boots slip on very easily and feel very comfortable inside. The first time I wore these was with black leggings and they looked great. I wore them for more of a casual looked and they finished the look off really well. The boots didn't rub when wearing them for the first time and they didn't cause my feet to blister or feel sore. I was surprised at this as normally new shoes or boots tend to do this. This was great as it meant I could wear the boots again without having to worry about them hurting my feet. The material to the boots does scuff and mark quite easily but this disappears if you wipe the boots gently with a damp cloth. I have also worn the boots with some skinny jeans and they look great when I wear them to town to do some shopping. The boots don't hurt my feet as they aren't very high and they aren't too tight around my toes. I have worn these for a good few hours before and my feet feel fine in them. Overall Opinion = = = = = = = = As the boots only have a small heel they are great for everyday wear rather than going out for a night out on the town. They can be worn with various outfits such as leggings, jeans and tights. The boots can either be made to look casual or slightly more dressed up. Although the boots are only made from a synthetic material they looks good and I personally don't think they look cheaply made. A few of my friends have asked where I got the boots from as they love the western style of them and the low Cuban heel. When the boots do wear down slightly, I will get them re-heeled so that they last a bit longer and I get some good wear out of them. I can't really fault the boots as I haven't had any problems with them and I have had them for over a month now. I would recommend these to others and if anyone does purchase the brown one's I would be interested to know whether they are brown or grey as in the picture. (review may also appear on ciao)
