A lovely ballerina pump from London Rebel

I like to buy slightly unconventional shoes to wear work rather than the standard black leather styles and I am lucky enough that our office has a very casual and easy going dress code to get away with this. I have had one other pair of London Rebel shoes and really liked them so added a pair of these Tipsy Ballerina Pumps in Pewter colour to my collection.

      London Rebel

The brand London Rebel has been about for just over ten years being founded in 2001. They are renowned as being a contemporary and trendy shoe designer taking inspiration from fashions around the world. They do not have an online sale page, except for trade account customers at http://www.londonrebel.co.uk, but you can view the latest styles and design on here. London Rebel is available from shops on the high street such as Barratts and also online from retailers like ASOS.

      Tipsy Ballerina Pumps in Pewter

The Tipsy Ballerina Pumps immediately caught my eye as they have one of my favourite designs on them, animal print. This design is a snakeskin effect and is quite subtle to look at. The shoes are a classic ballerina design, which is a pump style shoe that are both lightweight and easy to wear shoes for a day to day basis.

The overall colour of the shoe is pewter, which is gorgeous I have to say. It is a tarnished type silver colour that sparkles when you get light shining onto to, so the shoes look almost multi-tone when you walk in them. The snakeskin effect on the shoe made up of little triangles also helps to add to the overall effect and appearance that the colour gives to the shoes.

Around the edges of the shoe and lining it is a black nylon trimming. On the front of the ballerina pump is also a black nylon bow that matches the trimming. This creates a good contrast to the pewter colour and the bow also gives the shoe a cute look to it, which of course ballerina pumps are meant to be, somewhat cute and quaint.

The sole of the shoe is made out of a synthetic rubber type material and are completely black in colour to match the trimmings. These are flat pumps and so the heel is very small being less than half a centimetre in total, this makes them ideal for wearing to work especially if you have to do a lot of standing or walking around all day. The sole is quite a decent thickness for ballerina pumps; I have had some styles in the past that have had such thin soles that you can feel stones and cobbles coming through the bottom of the shoe! Very comfortable, however these are nice and comfy to walk in and not painful in the slightest.

The shoes slides on and off my foot with ease and the sides of the shoe are quite flexible so they mould to your foot rather than stay too firm and cause rubbing. I find that the shoes can get a but 'stuffy' when I'm in a hot room or in the sun, but as these are mostly synthetic materials I am not too surprised.

These shoes are really nice; they are comfortable for work and also have both a smart and a casual look to them. They go really well with jeans as well as smart trousers. These are also a very reasonable price, I paid £35 online at cachetshoes.co.uk and that to me is a great price for these (chiefly) work shoes. I don't expect them to last forever and typically these styles of shoe last me about 6 months before they are completely ruined but overall I am really happy with them.
