I really need some Wellington Boots
Member Name: wazza115
Advantages: Great colours, good price
Disadvantages: Not very wide
A couple of years ago when we had the really bad unexpected snow, I didn't have any suitable shoes to wear and I think there were a lot of people in the same predicament as I wasn't able to buy wellies anywhere.
After the bad weather had passed, I spotted these in Matalan, I decided to buy them but these last few days is the first time I have been able to wear them. They cost me £12 which I thought was a reasonable price too.
The wellies are predominantly black, with nice brightly coloured stripes swirling around them. The sole is bright pink and has a really thick tread, I have been wearing these over the last couple of days and found they do fair quite well in the snow, unfortunately, they are not so good on the ice as I have had a couple of near misses!
The only downside for me is that the leg fitting isn't very wide, I have quite wide calves and although they aren't tight, they are quite snug, so much so that I do struggle to tuck my jeans into the top of them.
I purchased the boots in a size 7 which was a size bigger than what I normally would wear but the reason I did this is because they haven't got any lining or fleece inside so I knew that when I wore them, I would need to wear a couple of pairs of socks to keep my feet warm.
The wellies are quite comfy to wear which I was quite surprised at, I wore mine today all day at work and didn't experience any rubs and blisters.
Overall, I would recommend these wellies, they are quite comfy and excellent value therefore 4 out of 5 stars from me.
Thanks for reading
