“ Brand: Miss Selfridge / Type: Boots „
I bought these in a sale at Miss Selfridges and they cost me £19.99, I needed a black pair of shoes for work and most of the shoe wear I used for work purposes were black knee length boots. These were quite sweet so I thought I would try them out.
They are black suede and although I hate suede, black is passable...just. The heels looked quite sturdy, this is always a good point for me, due to not being very good with stiletto type shoes, my balance isn't all it could be. Due to the heel being slightly thicker set, it made balance a non issue. I quite liked the round shape of the toe area, I have size 6 feet, so not huge but the roundness of these shoes it did make my feet look very cute and dainty. There is a small zip on the inside of the foot, which is almost hidden when walking as it isn't in plain view on the outside edge.
The general feel of these boots are they are very comfortable, although they do give you the feeling of leaning slightly too far forward when you walk, this can be a little off putting. I have bought another pair of these type of boot from The Shoe Factory, they were only £9 but the heels do not feel as sturdy or fixed on as well as my original pair from Miss Selfridge. They have a slight click when you walk and although they look normal when standing or walking, they just don't feel right when you're moving around.
I prefer my more expensive Miss Selfridge pair, cheaper isn't always better.
I haven't been on a big shopping spree in ages but I finally saved up the money and got a lot of new clothes as January is a nice time to get a new wardrobe. On my shopping trip I was looking out for these boots as I'd seen them on the Miss Selfridge website and thought they looked nice but wasn't sure how they'd look when I got there. I was thankful that they had one pair left in my size as it was all smaller sized when I first picked them up. The heel wasn't as big as they looked online so I was happy also but they looked lovely and I couldn't wait to try them on.
To look at, these boots are black suede ankle boots with a gold inside zip up the side. They are a round toe at the front and have a 4" heel and are 100% suedette. They do look really nice and could really go with anything as they are quite a versatile boot. I think they are very stylish in style and for the price they aren't bad as some places charge more. They have a beige coloured sole and inside of the show they have the Miss Selfridge logo. These have quite a chunky heel to make it easy to walk in or a stacked heel as the website calls it.
The ankle boots slip on really easily and once they are on are really comfortable and give enough room to let your toes move. They have a great fit and the zip goes up easily, I didn't feel like I had to really pull it up unlike some boots I've tried on in the past. Also, the heel has a great balance on it so that it isn't shaky when I walk but it is level and the fact the heel is thicker seems to be a lot better as when wearing these out it means they are not hurting your feet so much.
I find these boots being suede, you just have to be very careful with them. Luckily, I have never been caught in the rain while wearing these yet but I can't imagine the damage if it happens. The heel on these is not suede so it wouldn't be bad on that but to keep these clean, it says to wipe these clean. Also any dust on these can also be quite annoying you just have to rub to get it off. I have a suede shoe protection spray to keep the suede in the best condition, also I wipe these after wear.
Wearing these ankle boots is great as they literally go with everything. You can wear them on a trip to the shops or on a shopping trip with skinny jeans or you can wear them with leggings and they look really sophisticated and stylish. Also, I like to wear these boots with a dress on a night out, they go with a lot of dress styles, I have a black dress they go lovely with but they do make any dress a bit quirkier and just add a stylishness that a normal set of heels can't give and they are warm to wear.
These Bumble black suede boots are for younger or middle aged women as they work more with younger styles. They are comfy and after having worn these a few times, they still look good as new. Obviously, the sole of the show has signs of wear but the suede has remained black and not worn down and the zip still works fine. On a night out these boots don't hurt and it is nice to go home wearing my shoes rather than bare foot holding my heels with feet that are in pain.
You can buy these boots online or at any Miss Selfridge store and they will cost you £50 running in sizes 3 through to 8.
