Perfect snowboots for any little Peppa Pig fan!

As you can probably remember we had some terrible weather last year year including torrential rain, sleet and inches of snow. I found that neither my daughters boots or wellies  were up to the job of protecting her feet as they were always cold or wet when out and about no matter how many pairs of thick socks I put on her. Browsing the Mothercare website I saw these cute Peppa Pig Snow Boots for £16.00 and thought they would be perfect.

The boots are long and came up over my daughters ankle. The upper layer is made from waterproof textile and PVC. During the Winter my daughter wore these she never experienced soggy feet, these boots just refused to let any water in.  That being said I think the textile material did allow her feet to breathe as her feet never became sweaty. As far as I know they are only available in one design. The main part of the boot is dark pink and they are covered with lighter pink spots all over. On the side is a picture of Peppa Pig  looking very snug in her hat, coat, scarf and wellies. Above the picture "Peppa" is written in purple. Three thick velcro straps on the front of the boots keep the feet securely in the boots. Often childrens boots can be a bit of a hassle especially when you are in a rush, but I found these very convenient and easy to get on and off. The Straps are beautifully decorated with silver glitter strips and sparkly snowflakes, which my daughter absolutely loved. After all what little girl doesn't like a bit of glam! Inside the boots have thick white fluffy material which were really snug and kept my daughters feet toastie warm. That being said since the boots are so well padded inside I  would suggest buying a size up from your childs regular size, especially if you are planning to use thick socks. The waterproof PVC soles are non-slip making them ideal for those icy days when a good grip in extra important. Furthermore, I found the soles to be thick and robust. My daughter seems quiet heavy on her feet and she has gone through quiet a lot of shoes! However, throughout a whole winter of wearing these they remained strong, intact and with very little visible wear to them.

Care instructions advise to clean the boots with a damp sponge. I did throw them in the washing machine a few times after they got particularly muddy and I experienced no problems when I did this.

I honestly don't think I have any bad comments to make about these boots and found they were worth every penny I spent in them. Not only did they kept my daughters feet dry, warm and comfortable but they lasted through the whole winter. My daughter absolutely loved them and they were terrific in all that terrible weather. Like most young girls my daughter loves Peppa Pig, so the design was always going to be a winner. She especially enjoyed playing out in the snow in them and of course they were perfect for jumping in those muddy puddles.  They are fun, playful and the little added touches make them unique and extra girlie. Unfortunately my daughter has outgrown these boots now but I will certainly be buying her another pair soon now that the colder weather is on its way.

These Peppa Pig Snow Boots are only available from Mothercare for £16.00 in the following Junior sizes:  4,5,6,7,8,9,10.
