I bought these just before summer in a sale and paid £13.99 for them. The RRP is £22.99 and to be honest I would of definetly paid full price had they not been on sale as I love them! I really wish I had got a couple of pairs now. There were 2 colour options when I bought mine - a dark navy blue and black. I already have lots of colourful heels so decided to get them in black as that way they are much more versatile and can be worn casually rather than just for nights out and special occasions.
The physical appearence of the shoes is really cute. The shoes look excactly as they do on the picture above - quite plain with a rounded toe, a slightly raised platform (2-3cm) and a bow on the toe area. I love the bow detailing as it is really discreet but adds a subtle, extra hint of femininity and character to the shoes. The heel is quite thick which is a bonus in my eyes but for the girls who like the long, stilletoe type heel then these may not be for you. Despite its thickness it still looks elegant and adds plenty of height - it is around 4 inches high and brings me up to 5'7 when i'm wearing these shoes which I think is a generous amount of height considering how comfy these are, they don't feel too like they're as high as they are at all and are reasonably easy to walk in. I think this is because the platform adds extra padding and comfort and the heel is sturdy. Despite been comfy, they're definetly not the type of shoes to be walking in for too long. They are fine for when I pop into town for an hour or so but I don't think they'd be the best option to wear to work unless you have a desk job.
Because these are quite simple in style, they go with any outfit. Jeans, dresses, skirts, shorts, etc, and when worn with bare legs they don't look tarty like some heels can - they're good in the sense that they're not over the top or very noticeable. They do make me feel more elegant but don't make me feel really sexy and ready to party like some of my other heels do, if that makes sense. These are made out of suede and are soft to the touch and they are really easy to just slip on. They let my feet breathe and they don't irritate my skin in the slightest. These are available in sizes 3-8 and the sizing is very accurate; I am a size 5 and got the heels in size 5 and they fit perfectly, they don't make my feet feel squashed or uncomfortable at all and overall I would reccomend them.
I needed a new pair of black heels which as everyone knows matches with virtually anything and everything.
New Look was my first stop because I find they always have pretty shoes at a great price. I went in and saw the shoes pictured, they also had them in a navy blue colour but I didn't find them as nice as the black. As usual they came in sizes 3 - 8 and they were down to just £12.99 for £22.99 so a £10 saving, always makes the purchase more satisfying!
The whole shoe is black including the sole except the inside which is a grey/silver colour that has 'gorgeous feet' on the inside which is unique to New Look.
The material is like satin which means there is a sort of shine to the shoe. There is a fabric bow in the same material that is situated at the tip of the shoe and covers most of the toes.
The shoes does have a rounded toe but it is almost at a point. They are platforms and so has a raised sole and a heel that is a sort of triangular/cone shape that becomes thinner at the bottom.
So on to the downside, for some reason these shoes seemed really tight, most are rather flexible but these were stiff and didn't seem to mould to my feet over time meaning that I get blisters on my heel and the balls of my feet start to burn after just a short usage.
I'm a bit disappointed as all New Look shoes I've had before have been pretty good at being both durable and comfortable but these just weren't unfortunately.
They are gorgeous and even though they hurt I've worn them a few times because they're just so versatile but I wouldn't buy them again.
I seen these shoes, in my local New Look store a few months back, however, I bought them in a navy colour to match the new dress I had bought the same day.
They were also available in black as shown in the picture and a kind of beige/greyish colour.
They come available in sizes 3-8, and for a change my local store, had several pairs, displayed in each size.
These were reduced from £22.99 to £17.99 when I bought them, so saving five pounds, was clearly a bonus.
They have your usual black rubber sole, and silver lined insole, with the trademark 'gorgeous feet' printed inside.
The shoe itself is made in my case from a navy satin material, and has a fairly high ice-cream cone heel, that ends in an almost stilletto point.
The front is raised on a small platform, which aims to make the shoe easier to walk in, for people who struggle to balance when wearing heels.
The front of the shoe is round-toed and has a decorative bow attached, its not to big that it looks silly, and not to small that its unnoticeable.
These shoes are one of those pairs, that the style of them can easily be dressed up or down, so will go with most outfits, although because I choose the navy shade thats not the case. Personally I'd recommend going with the black, they'll go with more.
Now on to the downsides, the front of them really badly rubbed the tops of my toes, and again caused blistering, as did the heel of the shoe. Resulting in me only ever having wore them once, and even that night, I spent most of my time carrying them...
In all honest though, I tend to have the same problem with most of New Look's high heeled range of shoes. They're extremly pretty to look at, but most of them I've only ever been able to wear once, as they are just to uncomfortable...
Who would ever have thought I could make myself a bit of extra cash by writing about the many pairs of shoes I own? Not me thats for certain these babies are practically paying for themselves - well not quite but you know what I mean! Anyway it occured to me last time I was shoes shopping that I didnt won a single pair of plain black heels which in my opinion is something every woman should own - I mean they go with everything! So I started looking around for a pair on the cheap but I wasnt impressed with any I found until I saw these and although they werent very cheap I was sold straight away - I told myself they would be an investment for future job interviews instead of nights out at the pub!

Other Info: Cone heel with visible platform, made from (man made) suedette material & comes in shades Navy, Black & Cedar. I personally own the black pair as I wanted something simple and that is the one shown in the image with this review.
These also comes in sizes 3, 4 & 6 online but in sizes 3-8 in the shop!
These shoes look exactly as they do in the image for this review. They are a simple black in colour with a really cute bow attached to the front - some might say boring but I think the bow makes them more girly and makes them a but dressier than plan, black heels. The heel itself I think is slightly weird shaped because it is kind of like a triangle - usually I cant stand shoes with a heel like that but in this case I was sold from the beginning. It doesnt make the shoe look weird of anything like that and again there is a 3cm raised platform at the front which balances out the heel and makes the shoes easier to walk in. Im not sure these shoes needed the platform to be honest but it doesnt make then look or feel any worse I guess.
On the New Look website the heel for these is described as "very high" but I dont think it is really at all. Id guess it's about 5 inches which for me is about average when it comes to heels and certainly not very high unless your used to wearing really tiny heels. These are about average for me anyway meaning I can keep them on for hours without feeling like a giant or feeling like my feet are going to fall off! They are very comfy and very easy to walk in whether your good in heels or not - I am not and I dont have any problem with these.
As these are quite plain it means they can be worn with absolutely anything and can be worn anywhere. Even if your going for a proper casual look these dress it up slightly but dont make you look like youve made loads of effort which is why sometimes I wear these in the day. Having said that when worn with a dress or your going out clothes they match really well and can make an outfit look dressier so they are perfect for any occasion.
The heel isnt too big so I dont think many people will find these uncomfortable or hard to walk in. They are cute and match pretty much any clolour or style of clothes and a black heel will never go out of fashion so it is an investment - thats what Im telling myself anyway!! Highly recommended from me.
