a raffia heeled shoe by New Look

I was shoe shopping a month or so ago when I tried on so many pairs of shoes and just saw nothing I liked. I needed some shoes for a wedding and so wanted something comfortable, stylish and appropriate without being too over the top. After parading around every possible shoe shop I finally went into New Look as I know they have a good shoe range which is reasonable priced. I instantly found four pairs of shoes I liked and these are one of the pairs that I decided to buy in the end.

These shoes are made with a raffia heel it is an unusual fabric but it is a light sandy colour. The fabric on the peep toe front is a coral suede colour and they tie around the ankle with a buckle fastening. These are a great summer style and let your feet breathe and they have a 4" heel on them. The inside of the shoes has a floral pattern to decorate it and the New Look logo and shoe size is on here. These shoes have quite a chunky heel also and it is flat to make it easier to walk in these.

So, to begin with these shoes had to be taken on a night out to break them in at first. These having a raffia base were different for me to buy as it wouldn't normally be a texture I would go for but they look great. In terms of these going with outfits these are so versatile they literally go with anything, I wear these with skinny jeans or I wear these with dresses, skirts, shorts they are just a style that works well with everything. They are an easy to wear style and being coral it does blend in well with things as it adds a splash of colour.

When wearing these out, if it rains these aren't the best to clean but other than that they don't fray too easily. The raffia stays intact and the heel has a harder material on the base so that walking is very comfortable. Being a 4" heel, you'd never think it with these on as walking is so easy as the heel is so chunky. I think with these being on a slight platform, it makes the heel feel that bit smaller. These are great to walk in and even wearing them for a long day they still didn't hurt and kept my feet comfortable.

I think the only time these hurt ever so slightly was when I first wore them out as they dug in a bit at the ankle strap. They have never hurt me again since though once broken in and the strap ties around my ankle so easily. It has holes that go quite far into the strap to ensure it fastens onto the foot as tightly as possible. The design is great on these and the suede fabric just need to be cleaned with a sponge if it does get any kind of dirt on it but otherwise there is no major problem.

Overall, in terms of a summer shoe these are really great to wear. These are comfortable, they look good and even for those who find it hard to walker with higher shoes on normally, these just make it a lot more easier to walk in without stumbling. They go with all outfits and look really smart and stylish and are easy to clean and so far I have had no faults with them, having had them a couple of months now. They are a great style and would suit anyone, I highly recommend these heels.

These shoes originally retailed at £19.99 when I bought them but they have since gone into the sale and are just £9 which is a bargain, there are none left online but if you try your local store, you should find a pair.
