“ Brand: New Look / Type: Pumps „
I am really not a heel wearing person. I used to attempt to wear heels when I was in my late teens but always found them uncomfortable and really just an annoyance. Also, when drunk they proved fairly lethal for me.
Instead I have spend years wearing pumps, these are my shoe of choice for everyday use and all year round. What I have never owned though is a fancy pair of pumps I could hold in reserve for special occasions or nights out. I saw this in New Look and thought they were very pretty and could be exactly what I was looking for.
These shoe were originally priced at £20 but I managed to nab them in the sale for £8. Not knowing how much use I would get out of them I was happy to have them a little cheaper as it meant if they were a waste I hadn't thrown away too much money.
The shoes are essentially flat, though they do have a slight heel. This is predominantly for effect rather than height. It does differentiate them from other pumps which usually have a flat sole, these have a little heel that makes them seem a bit more dressy to me. The shoes are silvery in colour and have an open peep toe. There is also a corsage and some tear shaped jewels which give a really feminine and girly touch whilst also making them a little more dressy than regular pumps.
I tend to go for darker coloured shoes usually because I like something versatile that can go with any outfit. These shoes are a very light silvery colour and so are not particularly versatile for me. I also find they look a little bit strange when paired with black tights which is a staple in every outfit of mine. I still wear them, though do sometimes worry that because of the peep toe this looks a little odd. If it were my design then I would eliminate the peep toe because this makes it an exclusively summery items which doesn't really suit my year round needs.
I have been wearing them for special occasions and nights out now for about 6 months. I have definitely worn them more than 10 times within this time but still find that they rub my heels a little. I also find that, despite having narrow feet and small toes, the peep toe crushes my toes slightly and this can be very uncomfortable. I am happy to suffer for these shoes on a night out because I know they are way more comfortable than heels but I do wish they were slightly kinder to my feet.
These shoes cost me £8 in the sale so though I have a few complaints I'm still fairly happy with my purchase. I do still wear them and they do look nice on. I just wish they were in a better colour and slightly more comfortable.
A nice dressed up pump with a few flaws.
I have loads of heels, I couldn't even begin to imagine counting them but one thing I don't have is any flat shoes that are good enough for daytime use but also have enough sparkle to be used on a night out. Comfort and sparkle are the perfect combination for a night of hard partying.
I came across these pumps whilst on a mooch around my local shopping centre. I always find New Look great for shoes as they're great quality and a great price to match and so when I saw these were only £20 and down to the ultimate bargain shoppers dream of £8 I had to have them. They come in both silver and a hot pink colour but unfortunately they never had my size else I would have had 2 pairs.
They are a flat shoe but do have a very slight (I'm talking tiny) raised heel, peep toes - not something I'd usually go for in a shoe but they are very pretty - and silver in colour. On the front there are a few large jewels that are perfect to have something a little sparkly on a shoe, that was the main attraction for me and also the difference between those and normal flat shoes that are good enough to wear out.
They are really versatile and go with pretty much anything but I love wearing them with leggings and a tunic style longer top so you can see the full shoe rather than just the tip but they do match with jeans, black/grey trousers and any colour of top.
What I find best about these shoes is that they are great to wear for your daily use even work and then slipping on something different to wear for a night out or a nice meal. They are also ridiculously comfy, I'm normally the one at the end of the night walking down the street carrying my shoes but with these I have no problems and could go on longer than throwing out time!!
I have only worn them a few times so can't really comment on quality but in comparison to others I know who have had similar styles where the jewels have fell off, the heel has worn down on one side these don't seem to have the same problem so I assume they are pretty good quality.
I'll be keeping a look out for the pink ones to be in stock, in my size for another pair to add to my shoe collection! Definately a recommended pair.
Over the last few days Ive been trying to get all my product suggestion reviews written and this is one Ive been trying to write for a very long time but for some reason I can never seem to get into it - I thought Id try yet again today. A few months ago it oocured to me that although I have about 100 pairs of heels for going out I had no nice flat shoes that I could wear for a night out should I want to leave the heels at home so I decided to take a trip to New Look and invest in a few pairs. These 'New Look Jewelled Corsage Pumps' were one of the pairs I bought while they were on sale because they are bang in the middle of casual and dressy which was just what I was looking for - and Ive been wearing them all the time since!

The image with this review is so tiny I doubt anyone will be able to tell what these shoes really look like so Ill try and describe them as best I can. They are a silvery/white colour with a very slight raised heel at the back and weirdly for a flat shoe these have a peep toe which is the main attraction for me. I dont think Ive seen many flat shoes that have a peep toe so that makes these stand out from the crowd for me. On the front in a small rose which is the same colour as the shoe and jewels stuck around that - which I assume are supposed to be leaves. Its not your average shoe but it is a very pretty design and definitely offers something different to the normal flat shoe. They are casual yet dressy.
Ive been wearing these loads on and off since I bought them and they do seem to match with literally anything. I wear them with casual jeans & a tshirt all the time and they definitely make the outfit more dressy for me but on a night out when I want to leave my heels at home these work just as well with a dress or a nice pair of trousers. The colour is quite neutral so they match with most colours and styles and can make a very casual outfit look much more dressed up in seconds. They are comfy to wear - even the peep toe part - and I can walk all night in these without them hurting my feet at all.
Also these seem to be made out of really high quality material because even though Ive had them for 3-4 months they dont seem to have much damage to them at all - apart from the usual wear and tear on the bottom of course - the jewels are still stuck on firmly and the flower is untouched. Brilliant all round for me personally and they are highly recommended from me!
Thanks For Reading.
