These are currently my favourite pair of shoes that i own, they're absoloutly gorgeous! I got them in this month's Newlook sale for £10, a massive bargain considering they should of bein £30. With it coming upto summer i won't be wearing them as much as i'd like to as in my opinion they're more a winter shoe but i'll definetly be wearing them on the slightly colder days with leggings or jeans, i've even worn them with a bodycon and tights which was a bit daring as i thought it'd be a fashion disaster but upon looking in the mirror they actually looked great, i'm planning on trying them with some high waisted shorts but i'm not 100% sure it'll work! So far they've bein very versatile though and always bring attention to themselves as everyone mistakes them for the Topshop ones, which are double the price and almost identical!
They're just like leather ankle boots but in the shearling style. Ofcourse they're not real leather but most of my friends thought they were upon first glance. There's no tacky plastic smell and they don't feel plasticy, they actually feel prety much like real leather and the faux fur is beautifully soft and warm. They're a beautiful chocolate brown colour with the laces bein brown and the faux fur on the fold down cuff which adds to the vintage look. The lace up factor is what attracted me to them as i'm a bit of a doct marten addict and these are like a much more toned down, feminine version!
These boots do have a heel, which is nice and thick giving more support than an average heel. I'd guess it's around 2-3 inches at the most but does add a bit of extra height without bein too noticeable - it really adds to the unique factor of them!
They are really comfy and warm. I was expecting them to be lined with faux fur inside but they're not, but they still keep my feet cosey! They're easy to walk in and give my feet and ankles plenty of support, i'd say they're winter boots but i don't think i'd want to get them muddy/wet or dirty because i love them so much! I've got a bit of mud on them before though and easily wiped it off with a baby wipe which was handy.
I'd reccomend these. They're a total bargain and you'll get plenty of wear out of them as they're so easy to slip on!
These have got to be my most favourite buy of the last few months. Not only are they gorgeous but they werent expensive either. I had been wanting a pair like this for months to add to my large shoe collection. So when I finally got them for only £30 from New Look I was impressed, considering I had looked everywhere you could imagine and only found more expensive ones everywhere else. I love the fur at the top and the heel isn't to high which makes them easy to walk in.
The only thing I can fault them on is to be honest I dont find mine the most comfortable pair of boots I own. So unfortunatly if I want to wear them out shopping in town for the day I am unable to because they start to hurt my feet after a while. But then again I dont have a very high pain threshhold. They go with lots of things aswell which means I can wear them quite often, I think they appeal to all age groups as my mum also wanted to wear them out the other night.
Unfortunatly I got mine dirty the other day when I wore them in alot of mud but luckily they are really easy to clean and they looked just as good as new after I had sorted them out and cleaned them all up. They come in a range of different colours now aswell which I think is really cool.
Overall I think their a great bargain and an amazing pair of boots if your going for looking good.
I bought these New Look boos back at the begining of December to wear with tights and skirts to give me a winter look that was both fashionable but also at least slightly practical.
I scoured the high street looking for the right pair before finally deciding on these one's and it was a combination of both price and wearablity that made me get them.
They are made of a brown pleather material and have a fold down cuff on top which is lined with a faux sheep wool material. They are also lace ups right up to the top which gives them a really modern look.
The heel actually isn't as high as it appears and is only a couple of inches but the shape of the boots make it look bigger so don't let this scare you off.
Wearing the boots is surprisingly comfortable and I have no problem with wearing them for hours on end and the heel is absolutely fine for walking around in. I find that they give my feet really good support and I don't worry I am going to hurt my ankle in them if I have a slight wobble in them.
The nice thing about the boots is that they are really versitile and they look fabulous with thick black tights or leggings but can also easily be worn with jeans or trousers.
The wooly sheep material really makes them stand out and although a cheaper material you would never know from looking at them on as they look much more expensive than they actually were.
Talking of price I actually paid £29.99 for these boots which was a bit of a bargain as I hunted all over for a similair pair and these were considerably cheaper than any other one's I could find. They are very well made considering they are from new look and although I have worn them in snow and rain they are still looking great.
I would definately highly recommend these boots as they look really good and are an excellent price and comfortable to wear and at the end of the day what more could you ask for in a pair of boots.
I am a lover of shoes and boots, and I saw these in a magazine one day and it was love at first sight! I then kept seeing them on TV adverts, in more magazines and I eventually just had to buy them.
These are Lack Up Cuff Boots from New Look, and they are just amazing boots. They have a shearling style, which is totally in this season. They are a dark beigey-brown in colour, and the laces are just a bit lighter than the boots themselves. The heel has a cork look to it, and is about 2 - 3 inches high.
The laces are mostly pulled through eyelet holes, but the top 4 are pulled up around a metal piece and then they are tied up at the top, as you can see in the photo.
These boots are really comfortable to wear, as the inside is nice and padded, and they are really warm too, just perfect for this time of year. Normally my feet do not like heels, but these do not give me any pain when I wear them. I even find them quite easy to walk in, and heels are not the easiest thing for me to deal with!
The boots come up just past my ankles, so my ankles are nice and warm in the cold winter weather. The toe is rounded, but there is still plenty of room to flex my toes around inside, but not so much room that I feel the boots are unstable or floppy.
I paid £29.99 for these boots in my local New Look, and they are still available to buy right now. The come in sizes 3 - 8 and some of the New Look stores stock size 9 too. Personally I love these boots, and I find they go great with almost anything I wear. They go really well with a nice tailored pair of trousers, or a good pair of boot cut jeans. Wear them in the day for a bit of work day glamour, or at night to finish off the perfect evening outfit.
They are easy to drive in as well, which is always a bonus with beautiful footwear. I do not think I could recommend these boots more, I really do love them, and once my knee has healed up (had another knee surgery!) I will be back in these boots once again :D
Pop into New Look and grab yourself a pair of these wonderful boots, but do warned, they also come in Knee High and I had to buy them too!!
It seems that all of a sudden every pair of shoes or boots that I own has either broken or is unsuitable for the weather we have been experiencing of late. I have fallen into a bit of a trap of late of wearing flat shoes and I knew that I wanted to get back into some heeled boots for the winter months.
I went shopping to New Look with the intention of picking up some black boots but I couldn't really find anything suitable. It was then that a pair of brown heeled boots caught my eye though I wasn't sure if they would be suitable or not. I tried one on and my friend said that they looked nice and so I picked them up and went to pay for them.
The boots are a lace up boot which is oh so fashionable at the moment. They are a brown leather look ankle boot which has a chunky high heel and a furry aviator cuff. The boots to me look really cool in my opinion what with the corset style lace up and the aviator style cuff around the top both of which are very "in" at the moment. I would say that the chunky high heel is around three inches but it doesn't feel quite so high with it being such a thick heel.
The boots in my opinion can be worn either with the furry cuff folded down or in fact folded up so that it just looks like a longer boot. I have worn the boots both ways and in my opinion both look great. So far I have only worn the boots over the top of my leggings and I think that they look good but I also think they would go well with a nice pair of jeans and I am hoping to get a little skirt and some nice tights to wear them with for Christmas day as I feel this will look great.
I have walked a reasonable distance in the boots and whilst they are not as comfortable as walking in flat shoes for obvious reasons, they are pretty comfortable to wear to be honest. I think I could happily wear these boots for a shopping trip or night out and not be hurting too much! The heels of the boot make a clicking sound as you walk and I don't mind this at all though some people may prefer a quieter heel.
My only issue so far with these boots is that it is such a pain lacing them up! As they have the corset style hook and eyes going all the way up and then they have a normal hole at the top for the laces to be threaded through but to get the boots on to your feet you need to loosen the laces and then it all becomes unravelled! This of course is just me being lazy as it only takes a minute to lace them back up when they are on your feet but it is something for me to become used to.
I am really happy with the look and feel of these boots. They have a great grip on the soles and the sole feels very thick and chunky, almost like a work man boot, and so I am confident I will be able to wear these boots in the not so nice weather and not slip all over the place! The boots look trendy in my opinion and can be worn with a variety of outfits making them very versatile. The boots cost £29.99 in New Look which I feel is a pretty reasonable price for something which is very fashionable at the moment and I look forward to wearing these boots more over the coming season.
