A few months ago now I had a wedding to go to and as always I had left getting my outfit to the last minute, although it is always lovely to dress up I was on a limited budget but luckily I found an outfit for a great price, all that I needed to do then was find some great shoes to go with it! Whenever I find myself in this situation I always head straight to my nearest New Look store and as always, they did not let me down and I found some beautiful shoes to go with my prom style dress and even better, the shoes were a great price.


The actual shoes that I brought were the New Look Satin Bow Platform Shoe and the price was just £12.99. I am not often to find shoes in a sale as my size is an 8 and all that is normally left are really hideous looking ones but not this time, there were plenty of sizes left in the sale, range from what I could see from a size 3 to a 8 so after a quick try on of the shoe I was keen to pay and wear them in. The shoes are still available in the store and are sadly back up to full price which I believe is £22.99 but New Look often have weekend offers on a discount days so it is worth keeping your eyes out for them.


The shoes that I have are in a cream and black shade and are perfect for a formal occasion but I could also see myself wearing them with an outfit for work, all be it the heel is a little high! The shoes also come in black, Pink and Red and all could really make an outfit in my opinion. The shoes themselves are made from velvet and have a satin bow placed at the toe, they are really girly and yet I find them quite elegant at the same time.


I never used to be able to wear a heel very well, my feet would be in agony not long after wearing anything with a heel but I have got better but ~i have to admit being a little concerned with the size of this heel, there was a 3cm platform on the shoe and whilst I was worried at first, I actually found that this made the shoe easier to walk in. The heel was a little higher though, 6cm in size and I did have a little practice walking in them. The actual width of the shoe was not a problem and I found them to be quite comfortable and really easy to fit my foot into and from the point that I started wearing them I have had no issue with them rubbing or being too tight.


On the day of my friend's wedding, I put the shoe on at about mid day and did not notice any pain until quite late on in the evening and when I say pain, I think it is because I had been dancing and on my feet a lot of the day as when I have worn the shoe since I have found them to be really comfortable and have had no pain since.


In summary, I would have no problem in recommending this shoe. It is really is a elegant shoe and looks lovely with a dress for a special occasion. I have always been impressed with the price of New Look Shoes and these are certainly no exception.
