I love summer shoes, mainly because they're so much more colourful than winter shoes, and always seem to go on a bit of a shoe shopping spree in the spring of each year. This year was no different and I've ended up with about ten new pairs of summer shoes... just before you start to think I'm some sort of millionaire the average price of a pair of my summer shoes is around the £10 mark! I invested in two pairs of the New Look Simple Ballet Pumps, mainly because they seemed really comfortable, they'd go with anything and were very reasonably priced as well.

The ballet pumps are extremely simple; they're flat with a round toe with a thin line of material running around the top and a small bow on the very front which adds a bit of detail. The shoes are made from synthetic material and are incredibly soft, the material is really flexible and not stiff at all which means they haven't rubbed me a bit! However the downside to this is that they don't offer you a lot of support which isn't always ideal for everything. The sole is made from a dark beige coloured plastic which isn't overly thin and does seem quite durable.

The Simple Ballet Pumps are available in black, blue, gold, red and white on the website at present in a size 4 to 8. When I bought mine I got a salmon coloured pair and a white pair so there seems to be a greater choice in stores. The pumps are priced at just £7.99 which is a real bargain price. Obviously they're not going to last years and years at that price but I've had mine for about a month now and they're not showing any signs of wear and tear. I have no doubt that these will last me well into the autumn with frequent wearing. The full five stars from me!
