The smart wedge courts are a mixture between courts and wedges, with the upper of the shoe identical to an heel upper with a rounded toe and high quality leather-look man made suedette lining. Like most heels they're very open on the actual front exposing the surface apart from the toes, with no fiddly buckles/straps and so are easy to slip on. The bottom resembles a heeled wedge with what can only be described as wooden detailing, with a genuine leather soled high wedge, which is nice and chunky. Not sure what material the wedge is, as it's hard but definetly not wood or plastic. The fact these are labeled a courts is a tad confusing as they do resemble heels but not particulary courts, as courts are in my opinion defined by the length of the heel and these obviously have no proper heel and basically consist of a thick wedge with the top half of a heel stuck on the top, which i assure you looks better than it sounds! The base (the wedge), is strong and sturdy and much easier to walk in then actual courts, and gives extra support as it's not like balancing on stilts, and the high quality soles and inner cushion the feet when walking. They're simply designed and not over the top - i wouldn't souly describe them as a party shoe and wouldn't think they'd look out of place on a shopping trip or at college/work/uni depending on the rules at your particular place of work/education.
The shoe overall is pretty simple and although not a huge wedge it does give height (estimate 4 inches), and is easier than most high shoes to walk in. As the wedge is thick and covers the entire surface of the bottom of the shoe it allows support and comfort.
I'll be wearing these alot due to the comfort and casual look to them; they look great with jeans and shorts aswell as party dresses so i'd say they're very versatile and on the summery side due to the light colouring of the shoe.
Sizing and Colour Options:
Sizes: UK 3-8
Colours Available: Beige, Cream, Baby Pink, Tan.
The colours as mentioned before are more of a summery colour as they're all light, making it easy for scuffs and dirt to shoe up. Personally i'd never dream of sticking them in a washing machine and prefer to clean any specks of dirt off them with a baby wipe which works wonders.
So far my pair have seemed very durable, and considering they retail at a very reasonable £25, seem good quality and haven't scuffed even after plenty of wear in the 3 weeks since i've had them. They hug the foot well (when bought in the right size), and unlike most courts do actually stay on properly and there's no worry of them slipping off. The heel's not flimsy or cheap like most shoes and i'd say that it's very sturdy.
Reccomended to anyone who likes the look of them; you'll get plenty of wear out of them.
Summary: Cheap, high quality wedges
