If you have read any of my previous reviews then you will know that I am a big fan of shoes. It is not so much that I have a massive collection but I do really love different styles and trying different looks with different outfits. Until quite recently I have not really owned many pairs of Wedge styled shoes and then I happened to spot some in the New Look store in my local town and I had a pair of boot cut jeans that would look great with them so after a quick try on I was ready to make a purchase and here is how I got on with them.


The shoes as I mentioned are from the New Look store and I have always found their shoes to be really fashionable and at an affordable price. The shoes are priced at £24.99. I have made cheaper purchases from them before but I think that this is a really reasonable price and they so look a well-produced shoe. The wedge shoes come in a variety of colours, there is tan, black and gold and I opted for the tan shade as I thought that this would work best with my outfits and accessorizes but all colours in the wedge looked really good. The size range in this shoe is from a size 3-8 which is great as I take a rather large size 8 when it comes to shoes.


The design of the wedge is not that different from other wedge shoes, there is a slight platform to the shoe as well as a rather large wedge heel of around 5 inches. I tend to opt at 4 inches for the tallest of most of my shoes but I have just about managed to balance myself out in them now! The wedge of the shoe is made from a cork material and then the straps that form the bottom part of the shoe as well as the ankle strap are made from fake leather looking material.


Having worn these shoes on and off for the summer I have found that they have been a lot more comfortable than I first thought they were going to be. There is an ankle strap that has a buckle and this can be adjusted and I have found it to be really comfortable. The leather straps around the toe area is also really comfy and my toes did not feel in any way squashed. They did not rub my foot in any way and were really quick to wear in and get used to.


I have worn these shoes a couple of times where I have had to walk quite a distance and they are easier than you think. The shoe s cork wedge makes the shoe quite light and there is quite good grips on the shoe as well. The platform on the shoe is another added extra that helps make the shoe nice and comfy.


In summary, I have nothing but high praise for this shoe. It really is comfy and I am certainly impressed with all aspects of it.
