      Very helpful

A bargain buy with plenty of style

My New Look Suede Flower Clogs are something that I bought in the sales. I had seen a similar pair I wanted by Moda in Pelle, which are a brand I often buy, but they were still full price at the time and these were reduced. The result was that the New Look cheapie pair of look-a-like clogs won the day. When I came to review them they were not listed here, but they arrived super quick on my list of agreed products yesterday so I can now review them.

Having bought my clogs and worn them I have to say, whilst I didn't make a bad choice with buying them they aren't quite as nice as the ones I really wanted. However in terms of price they do win through as the Moda in Pelle Laverne clogs were £65 and are now £39. My Suede Flower Clogs were £30 but cost me £10 when I bought them, so whilst they may be second best in terms of what I set out to get, I have to admit they look very similar and the price was a real bonus.

The thing that attracted me to my New Look Suede Flower Clogs was in the main the fact that they could be worn with jeans during the day for a funky casual look, but might also go with other clothing for autumn evenings too. As clogs are usually very easy to wear I thought these would be an easy option for adding a a bit of height too, as the heel on my clogs combined with the slightly wedged sole is perfect for making your legs seem a little bit longer.

Once the clogs are on you do feel pretty tall in them, but with them having the slightly wedged sole they are more comfortable than you would think. This is because the heel is not as high as it looks due to the extra inch or so you have on the front sole of the shoes. I do find that these type of wedged fronted shoes can make it easier to handle the seemingly higher heels, which in this case are not as toweringly tall as they first appear anyway.

The over all look of my New Look Suede Flower Clogs is rather nice, I like the suede uppers which are made from real suede in this case, none of your fake suede is used in this shoe. The studded details do look very nice and give added interest to what might have been a much plainer looking shoe otherwise. The colour of my clogs is in a light rusty tan and I think its a perfect shade for autumn wear and will go with all sorts of other colours.

The side over sized flower detailing on my New Look Suede Flower Clogs is yummy. Its what drew me to the other ones I wanted and as soon as I saw these New Look ones I wanted them. The flower is layered and full looking and it actually takes up a good part of one side of the shoe. It also softens the slightly clumpy heel of the shoes and makes them look more up to date.

The attention to detail over all is very good and even the pad where my heel sits has a little bit of gold text on it telling me 'Your feet look Gorgeous'. Now I am not saying these are anywhere as good as the more pricey Moda in Pelle ones I originally wanted to buy might be, but I feel that for the money spent I got a bargain here. They certainly do look the part when on my feet.

To give my New Look Suede Flower Clogs a rating is easy, I feel they ought to get 4 stars. I wouldn't dream of driving in them and I certainly wouldn't want to wear them all day every day as that would be very tiring. However as a funky fashion shoe with lots to offer they do a fine job and so I would recommend them if you spot them on the sale shelves in store.
