I bought these boots in December 2013 and absolutely LOVE them!
I love wearing heels but at 5 foot 9, I barely wear them and so when I do, they hurt my feet A LOT.
I am always buying high heeled shoes, and then they sit in my wardrobe until I give them away as my feet just cannot stand the pain!
These boots however are a different story! I wore them for my office Christmas party, expecting to be in agony after about an hour, but come 1am, I was still dancing away and my feet were fine!
People say that wedges don't hurt your feet, but I find they normally do, and these ones really are magical!
These boots go with anything, I dress them up with a party dress, or dress them down with jeans, I also wear them to work with either a smart dress or trousers.
They are a fabulous discovery I made, so if you spot them in your local New Look, grab a pair!
I love ankle boots as I find them so versatile as I think they look good with jeans and leggings and also thick tights and leggings with dresses. I do like New Look footwear as I find they are usually quite wide fitting and well made and are also reasonably priced compared to a lot of other shops. I think my favourite boots are wedges as I find them the easiest to walk in as there is less danger of going a cropper by falling off the heels or tripping up as there is more of a solid base to walk on. These boots also come in black but I chose the tan ones as I thought they would go with more outfits. They were £24.99 which is not a bad price for a well made pair of ankle boots and they come in sizes 3 to 9.
These boots have a wedge which is about two inches at the back of the heel and tapers in towards the bottom. There is a rubber sole and a vey small rubber heel at the back of the wedge which prevents you from wearing the actual wedge part down. They have a strap in the same tan colour which crosses over at the back and is secured by a small loop and then doubles round the boot and which crosses over at the front. It is secured by a silver coloured buckle at the side which is adjustable for a comfortable fit. There is a zip on the inside of the boot and a sort of a flap at the side of the buckle which is slightly open and makes them easier to get on and off even with the zip open.
I have worn these several times and have found them to be very comfortable. Although the sole is quite thin I have not been able to feel anything through the sole when I am walking. I wore these last week to walk round the shops for about four hours and although my feet and legs were just generally tired they didn't rub or irritate my feet at all. They are plenty wide enough for me to feel comfortable and I do have fairly wide feet. I have worn these boots with ordinary socks and also pop socks and find them comfortable with both. I have also worn these boots with a long thick jumper and a pair of brown leggings which looked quite smart.
I like these boots so much I would buy the black pair if I had some spare money as they are really comfortable and I think they look very smart. The heel is high enough to make them suitable for going out in but the comfort and safety of the wedge make them equally suitable for daytime wear. If I had a black pair I could wear them for work and would know that my feet wouldn't hurt at the end of the day. These boots come recommended by me and I give them 5 out of 5 stars.

As some of you may already know, I have become a little addicted at buying ankle boots recently and now have at least 5 pairs of ankle boots to my name, all of which are different colours and styles. Most of the boots I have a flat so can be worn casually with jeans or leggings, how-ever I recently spotted these in my local New Look store and feel in love with them. The boots caught my attention because they had a small wedge heel which I thought would be great for dressing an outfit up slightly such as leggings, skinny jeans or a nice, casual skater dress. The boots are a lovely light tan colour and have a double buckle and strap design to them. The boots have a side zip fastening. Although I am reviewing the tan buckle wedge boots they do also come in black as well. The boots are a timeless style that would look great with a ditsy floral dress. They have a buckle fastening to them for detailing and have a small wedge heel which is slightly narrower as it gets to the sole of the shoe. Although these have a wedge heel they aren't too high which makes them perfect for day-time wear. I actually purchased the tan coloured boots as I liked the look of these more than the black one's. I also though that the tan boots would go with a lot more and would look better with black leggings rather than wearing black leggings and black boots together. The boots come in sizes 3-9 and are priced at £24.99 which I think is reasonable for the boots. This is probably around the price I would expect to pay for a pair of boots like these.

Wearing the Boots

I actually planned on wearing the boots with a nice, casual skater style dress and black tights. I thought this would look nice to wear during the day or for when me and my boyfriend pop out for a meal down to the local pub during the weekends. The boots would also look great with leggings as well. I vary between a 5 & 6 in shoe and boot sizes; how-ever I actually purchased a size 6 in these as the size 5 was too way too tight. I actually wore the boots the first time with leggings and a nice vest top down my boyfriend's local pub with him and his friends. My boyfriend said that the boots looked nice and they felt really comfortable. The boots weren't tight around my ankle which was good and I found that I was able to walk in them really easily without feeling or looking as though I was wobbling in them. I had the shoes on for a good 4-5hrs and I was walking about and also standing. The boots are a really nice fit and they didn't pinch my toes or feel too tight around the sides of my feet. I did wear socks with the boots which may have made them slightly more comfortable to wear. By the end of the night when taking the boots off I was surprised that my feet didn't hurt, although as they have quite a low heel then this is probably the reason why my feet didn't ache or hurt. Not even the arch in my foot hurt which I sometimes find when wearing heeled shoes. I have worn the boots with a casual dress and black tights and the boots look great with this outfit as well, although I have to admit that I do prefer the look of the boots with leggings or skinny jeans. I haven't yet spilt anything on the boots and hope not to as I am unsure how easy they would be to clean and I think if anything was to spill on them, they may possibly stain.

Before buying these boots I did spend at least 15mins debating whether to get them or not and I am really glad I did in the end. The boots are really comfortable and didn't hurt my feet at all, despite being in them for a good few hours when wearing them with leggings and also with a nice casual skater dress. Although I do prefer the look of the boots with leggings I have worn them with a casual skater dress and tights on more than one occasion. I like the colour of the boots as they are a very light tan colour, rather than a dark tan colour like some of my other boots. The strap detail and the buckle on the boots make them less plain looking and give them a nice finish. The wedge heel to the boot isn't too high so they are easy to walk in. In terms of quality and value I would say that the boots are very reasonable as I haven't yet found any flaws or problems with the boots, despite wearing them a good amount of times. I would definitely recommend these as I think they look great with a number of different outfits and can be either dressed up or down.
