“ Brand: New Look / Type: High Heels „
New Look do amazing shoes at bargain prices and I have found that they are mostly good quality and always seem to last me for a while before I need to think about binning or replacing them.
I actually bought these shoes for a funeral but don't let that make you think that they aren't suitable for other things as they are a really versatile pair of heels suitable for almost any occasion.
These court shoes are suitable for both work and play and are nice enough that you could wear them for a night out but also subdued enough that you could easily wear them to the office. They have a ribbed detailing edging on the top of them and a small bow on the toe but both of these are really subtle.
They are made with manmade materials but they look like leather and to my eye they look a lot more expensive than the £18.99 I paid for them.
The heel is one of the best things about these shoes as it is such a nice size. It is short enough that it looks professional but it is high enough to give a bit of glamour and height.
They are also really comfy to wear and the heel just makes them easier to walk in. I have no problem walking in higher heels but these are easier to walk in and for people who like a heel but not the ridiculously high ones that are in fashion at the moment these should be ideal as the heel really is in that sweet spot of being just right. They also don't pinch or rub too badly so having them on for hours at a time isn't a big deal.
I would really highly recommend these court shoes as they are lovely to look at and they are comfortable to wear but the best thing about them is they are the sort of shoe that fits any occasion and could easily be paired with trousers for the office or a dress for an evening out. I have them in black which makes them even more practical and as these are only £6 in the New Look sale I would recommend that you get yourself down to your nearest store and buy a pair.
New Look Topline Detail Court was £18.99 now £6
I have these shoes in Coral. Not being a massive heel wearer I often try to buy budget shoes so when I scrape the heels of them I am less distressed.
These shoes are made from synthetic fabric which has a little shine to it. Around the top there is a stay tape type fabric, and they have a little bow on the front. They are lined with a cute floral fabric. I think it was mostly the bow and the lining fabric that attracted me to these shoes.
They have a slimline heel which is something I normally avoid as only an occasional heel wearer I find I am more stable on a slightly wider base - but the colour of these shoes was too good to pass up.
They may have been a bargain impulse buy but they have become a favourite of mine (I bought a second pair in the sale) they look great with a range of outfits, and even though the original pair is a little scuffed I am still wearing them - saving the newer ones for 'best'. The shoes did take a few wears to break them in, but not I have the are really easy to wear.
I'd definitely recommend these to people as they really were such a bargain to buy.
These shoes are stylish black heels suitable for work or going out. The heel is quite a low heel so doesn't make it impossible to walk and the shoes are a faux black leather material.
--Price and availability--
These shoes cost me a bargain £19.99 and have been worth the money as I have got a fair bit of use out of them. They are available at New Look online over at www.newlook.com and variations of this product are available online depending on what colour and style you are looking for. They are also available in store at your local New Look.
I was looking for a pair of really nice heels but not too high so I could actually walk in them and these fitted the bill perfectly. I like the neutral black shade which will match many outfits and I like the gentle heel so I have added an inch or two to my height but am not falling over like an idiot whenever I try to go out in them.
I don't wear heels that often so this would be my only pair of heels, but I decided it would be nice to have a pair to dress up when going out.
New Look tend to have a wide choice of shoes and I am always pleasantly surprised by the variety, prices and fair quality of their shoes.
The main drawback to these was after wearing them for the first time I did get blisters down the sides of my feet where pressure had been applied from the heels. However, I often get this from new shoes so was sort of expecting it.
Apart from this, they were reasonably comfortable to wear and my toes didn't feel too squashed in. I like the shape of the shoe and overall they are a very attractive shoe to wear out.
The main attraction was of course the reasonable pricing with shoes from other high street stores coming in with more expensive prices and a similar shoe in Topshop being £60+, I really could not complain at the price and decided to give these a try!
Buy a pair of New Look heels for a bargain pair of attractive heels to give you an extra height lift!
So cheap, it would be rude not to
As soon as I saw these shoes I knew I had to have them! The good think with New Look shoes is that they are so affordable - the bad thing is that this means it is impossible not to buy from there! These shoes are a fantastically reasonable £19.
Although the picture here shows the shoes in black, the colour I have is a corally pink.
Toe the line
The toe of this shoe is rounded and there is a little bow at the top in the same colour as the shoes in a kind of string material. I can take or leave this small detail to be honest but it is small enough to be inoffensive and not make any real difference to the overall look of the shoe. The shoe also has a pretty lining in a small floral print - a nice touch.
The heel on this shoe is high at about 3 inches and quite thin, so I would say this is a shoe for the more seasoned heel wearer!
The colour of this shoe is what makes it stand out from the crowd. While the black version is more formal and would be good for the office, the shade I have is much more fun. It is a coral shade - you could say an orangey-pink colour - more orange than salmon pink but less orange than ... well an orange I suppose. It is quite an unusual shade but it seems to be everywhere at the moment and is a really nice colour for spring and summer (whenever these elusive seasons arrive).
At a glance you would think these shoes would be hard to match with outfits. But actually they are more practical than they at first appear. They go well with all neutral colours, including shades of grey and cream. But I think this colour works really well with navy blue - which means they also look great with dark denim! In fact I think my favourite look for these shoes is to team with long, dark indigo jeans - the shoes look really striking with this shade and it gives a great dressy feel to jeans.
As I say, this bright orange-pink shade is all over the high street right now, and this is a great, simple way to add a fashionable splash of colour to brighten up other outfits.
So how do these shoes fare on the comfort factor? I do find court-style shoes tend to rub a bit on their first few outings and these are no exception. However, they get more comfortable the more I wear them, and I am planning to do a stint around the house with a thick pair of woolly socks to help stretch them out a tiny bit - a very sexy look, especially if I wear MrD's holey socks. As they are quite high, these aren't designed for hours of walking and standing, but as heels go I think these are pretty good and haven't caused me any massive problems when I've been out in them, and they get better the more I wear them. Also a bit of discomfort is a small price to pay for a pair of fab looking shoes - which is what these are in my opinion!
For the price, I really recommend these shoes. It's a great way to update your wardrobe for the spring and summer, and I look forward to getting lots more wear out of them in the coming months!
