      nice pair of shoes

Last year when I was at new look I bought some stuff from the sales which I later wanted to return.
I found new look does not do refunds on sale items and instead offers an exchange so I decided to look for some flat shoes to exchange with.

These were priced at £8 and caught my attention due to their plain and simple design.
I always find black pumps are really useful to buy as they can be worn with a range of outfits..
Although I have quite a collection of shoes and at times have not always worn half the ones in the bottom of my cupboard as much as I could.. I always find them handy to purchase and can't resist a good offer in the sales.

These shoes have a ribbon bow on the front of the shoe and it is pretty much the only eyecatching thing about it as it is simplistic in design. The fabric of the shoes are velvet and so look different from most standard pumps that were on sale alongside it.

They were available in a range of sizes, on trying the shoes on I found them to be really comfortable and they fitted my feet perfectly. Wearing them a few times I had no problems with them, I avoided wearing them on days where the weather was bad as I felt they would get wrecked in the rain.

Due to the material of the shoes, they were also a bit more difficult to clean than previous shoes.
I noticed my other flat shoes could be cleaned easily with a wet cloth but these needed a good scrub to get any mud off, and even then I was cautious as I didn't want to make the material look different.

Overall a nice pair of flats that lasted me a few months before I started wearing different ones.
At £8 they are a good price for basic flats, but if they were not on sale I can't say I would of purchased them.

I still give them 5 stars from me for being a decent pair of flats that had a good use out of them.

      Thanks for reading :)

A long lasting pair of pumps.

I have to be honest and say I'm not exactly into my shoes. Present me with a selection of handbags and I'll swoon but shoes have never really been my thing.

I tend to buy pumps every 3-4 months to replace my most recent pair that by that stage will be falling apart. I like quite dark colours and simple designs because I wear them with everything and they need to be versatile.

These shoes were in the New Look sale, down from £20 to £8. This was my main deciding factor in getting them as I replace my pumps so regularly that if I can get a cheap deal I'm pretty pleased. I also like something I can also wear to work and these looked plain enough for that.

The shoes are made from a suede type material and feels very soft. They have a velvet bow on the top over the toes which is really nice and adds a feminine touch to an otherwise plain shoe. I think they look really nice despite being a relatively cheap shoe. I also have found them to be extremely versatile as they are black and quite plain I can pretty much wear them with anything I want. This also means they are very appropriate for work too, and as I have several different jobs this is probably where I wear them most.

I found that they are pretty comfortable to wear. Although most shoes do rub me initially these ones didn't really which is quite unusual. Because of the soft suede I found them quite soft on my heels and really had no problems wearing them in. I do find, however, that because the lining if like a plastic faux leather effect if you wear them without tights they do become a little sticky in hot weather or on long walks. I tend to only wear these ones with tights now and have no problems but it is a shame because I wear footless leggings fairly regularly.

Overall though I am pretty happy with this cheap pair of pumps. I managed to wear them for a total of 4 months because they completely fell apart which is great for a pair of cheap pumps. I have been wearing them pretty much every day during that period so obviously if you were them less frequently expect them to last a little longer.

A good pair of pumps for a bargain price.

Ideal for a smart but casual look

There's no doubt i'm a bit of a shoe addict, and i love cute little shoes like these. I first came across them while browsing through Newlook's sale page. They're described as pumps but most people will know them as flats. They'd bein reduced from £20 to £8 and looked beautiful! The product information stated they had a velevet fabric upper with ribbon bow detail which sounded ideal to wear to Uni or work as casual but smart shoes. They were a total bargain aswell as bein feminine and ideal for wear whenever so i ordered a pair of the black ones, there's also a dark purple colour but i wasn't keen on it as i prefer my shoes to be on the smarter side, although it's a really pretty colour.

They arrived in a factory sealed bag within a few days. They have a lovely silky feel to them and are in a suede material. The inside of the shoe has the newlook logo in and the size. I decided to wear them to work. I work at sainsburys stacking shelves and on the tills, i wore them with tights and my work outfit, a simple tube skit, white shirt and my sainsburys badge. They fitted really well, although slightly loose at the back of my ankles. Walking about in them was like walking in any other shoes, but i'd compare them as bein similar to 'pump' trainers. They were really comfy and let my feet breathe well and i got loads of compliments on how cute they were!

The next day i wore them to college with bare feet and a simple outfit. It was a really warm day and i was walking about alot and i found by the end of the day my feet were slightly wet (too much information!) aswell as the shoes, so i'd reccomend wearing tights with them if your feet get sweaty because obviously they'd look silly with socks!!

Walking out and about in town in them is nice and comfy, i can wonder about for ages and my feet won't be aching because the shoes support my feet well. I avoid rain and mud at all costs because i'd never dream of washing them in the washing machine due to the material. They've got a few mud stains on the toe which are incredibly hard to wash off so i've decided to only wear them indoors and on paths etc rather than wearing them to picnics!

Overall they're great quality at a low price, aswell as bein ideal for someone who wants a smart but casual look for college/school/uni/work etc, they're really girly and will definetly earn you a few compliments!

Nice shoes, cute and girly, perfect for work

I bought these shoes about 3 weeks ago to wear for work. I just wanted a pair of black shoes, which were flat but still cute and girly to wear, nothing too formal. I came across these shoes in new look, and even though they were made of a suede material, they were the exact shoe I was looking for. They are just like black pumps.

These pumps were around the £12 mark in the sale, and they are so comfortable, which is great as I do a lot of walking in a day. They don't hurt my feet at all even towards the end of the day. They are a nice fit, and don't feel too tight or slip off easily. Although the very first time I wore them I had bare feet, and they do make your feet sweaty! You have to wear socks or tights with these shoes.

The shoes actually look quite nice in the suede material, although they mark so easily, it's a shame as I don't think these are going to last me long. I got mud on mine and although it was quite easy to wipe off, the suede material just doesn't look the same now its been wet.

These pumps I have also seen in a deep purple colour, which also look nice. They have a little bow on the top, to make this simple shoe look cute and girly, they would look a bit boring without the added bow!

These shoes are no good if your out and it rains! Mine got wet walking to work one morning and they stayed wet all day, they were so uncomfortable! Most shoes you can wipe dry, but as these are velvet, they took ages to dry. Also they do feel a little bit like they have lost there shape, they dont fit quite as tight anymore but they are still ok, i will not be getting them wet again!

These shoes are great for work or just for casual wear as they will go with anything. They are so comfortable, cheap, look cute and I recommend them definitely if you need a casual/smart black shoe for work if you do a lot of walking in a day!

          Velvet pumps from new look

The fashion- conscious amongst you will have noticed that velvet has made a comeback over recent months, and I have to say I didn't embrace it, but when I saw these velvet pumps I couldn't resist.

The shoes were originally available in lilac, pink, black or blue, so I bought them in pink.
I have noticed that on New look's website there is now only lilac, and availability will probably vary from store to store.
The shoes cost me £10 from New look's website, however I noticed they were £20 in store.
I have noticed that they are now reduced to £8 online, and I don't know how much they are in store.
However, do remember that you'll will have to pay postage if you buy online.
I was lucky enough to buy mine when there was free postage for a few days.

My shoes arrived when New look had promised they would and I was ecstatic.
I was a little worried because, having bought them online, I obviously hadn't tried them on.
This wouldn't be a problem but I have found that in the past I have had to buy shoes a size smaller than my normal shoe size from New look.
But I went for my usual size and luckily they fitted fine.
I thought the shoes were really pretty.
They're soft velvet with a ribbon bow on the front in the same colour as the shoe, and a flat synthetic sole.

I wore them to go to a party a few nights later and hadn't really worn them in so I was slightly worried my feet might start to hurt.
However, they didn't hurt my feet at all and I found them very comfortable.

Unfortunately, I noticed the next morning that my shoes had a few dirty marks on them.
They weren't really bad, just had darker patches on them.
I hadn't been anywhere muddy or anything like that so I guess the material just gets dirty easily.
But like I said, they weren't too bad.

Overall, I do love these shoes and I'm glad I bought them.
I would recommend them if you like this sort of thing as they are comfy and very pretty.
