      Advantages

      Disadvantages

These are very good pumps from Next

      THE DESIGN

These are pumps for little girls from Next. They are made of canvas that is bright pink and have large hearts all over them.  The pumps fasten up with a thick strap that has got velcro on the end. The soles are thick rubber and are in white, they are raised up on the shoe and that helps protect the fabric of them.

      COMFORT

These are wide fitting and are very comfortable for my daughter to wear. She has worn them all over the summer for playing in the garden and going to the park, they haven't stretched or gone floppy on her feet. The velcro strip is quite long so you can narrow the shoes effectively to fit different width feet. The insoles are thick and spongy so they are comfortable, she has never complained about her feet aching even though we do a lot of walking as a family.

      DURABILITY

I have bought this style of pumps for my daughter before and these have lasted for longer than any of them. She wears them a lot because she had an operation on her foot last year so doesn't like wearing sandals because she has a wide scar and is conscious about it, these have been good summer shoes because they are light but it means they've been worn a lot. The pink looks a bit faded and the hearts are grubby but the shoes are still in perfect condition apart from the velcro which has started to pull away from the strap a bit.

      WHAT I THINK

I like these pumps because they look smart but are comfortable for my daughter to wear.  She can put them on herself because when the strap is open the shoes open up wide for her to slip her feet into them, they're easy to do up so when she goes on the bouncy castle at the park she can remove her own shoes and put them back on after she gets off.

The velcro is failing now and I think it will fall off the strap completely soon, I don't mind because they are no good for cold or wet weather so I don't think she will be able to wear them for very long now anyway. They have been worth the money for all the wear they've had.

      WHAT MY DAUGHTER THINKS

My daughter likes heart designs so she was happy when I bought her these shoes, we haven't got a Next nearby so none of her friends have got the same shoes.  She didn't like the rubber around the toe at first and said it made her feet feel heavy but I think that is mainly because they are so different to the style of shoes she usually wears for school and playing.

A great little pair of pumps

Most of the time these days my daughter is wearing either trainers or a pair of knitted boots which has been great during the wintry weather, but now that it is supposed to be becoming dryer weather (or have I just jinxed it!?!) I wanted a pair of shoes that wouldn't have her feet as warm especially as now she is in nursery every day. In the past I have usually bought pairs of Doodles from Clarks but I have also in the past tried a pair of pumps from Next, so I thought I would pick up a pair for nursery and see how we got on.

Looking through the Next website I came across a pair of pumps that grabbed my attention immediately, and that was a striking bright pink pair - I just love anything pink and that is now rubbing onto my little girl! The pumps are made from a reasonably thick material, which I think is canvas. Initially they felt quite stiff which was a little worrying, but after a couple of times being worn they soon softened. They are a bright pink colour covered with a pattern of white hearts and at the front of the shoe you will see a pink bow with white stitching attached. The sole of the pump is a thick rubber but extremely flexible so walking in them isn't a problem for the child at all. The pumps fasten with a vecro fastening which is on a long tab that folds back over the foot in a doubled up effect.

The price of the heart pumps is £9 or £10 depending on the size you purchase. The sizes start at a tiny size 3 and up to size 6 will cost you the £9. From size 7 to 12 are £10. The range of sizes I think is great, as though they do look like a pair of pumps maybe for a toddler, they are suitable for slightly older children. The pumps also come in red or navy blue with the same heart pattern.

The obvious downside with buying these shoes online is that you can't try them on your child beforehand and I have found that these pumps can be a little on the small side (from my previous experience) so I ordered a size bigger for that reason and they fit really well. The shoes can be worn with or without socks and my little girl says they are comfortable both ways, and in fact she does prefer to wear them without socks. The pumps are washable and from past experience I can confirm that they come out really well wash after wash, and are long lasting due to the quality and durability.

My daughter loves these shoes and would love to wear them more often, its just that winter clothes don't seem to match as well with them as some of the more lighter clothes the warmer weather allows us to wear. Quite often she will put on her Alice in Wonderland fancy dress outfit and then wear these shoes with it and she calls them her Alice shoes! I would recommend these shoes but advise not to be worn in the rain as that can result in some very wet little feet!

Thank you for reading my review :)
