Next white lace up shoes
Little Miss likes this style of shoe so when her last ones were way too tatty to wear and we were in Next, we decided to give this make a try.
We bought the shoes instore at Next but they are also available online at www.next.co.uk. They cost between £12 and £15 depending on the size which is good value for this type of what we call all round every day shoes.
The shoes are quite thick and feel good quality. We bought the white shoes and they are also available in yellow. The shoes we bought have 5 eyelets on each side of the tongue and they come complete with white laces. I mention the laces because some thin and slippy laces can be really irritating as they keep coming undone, but these are nice and thick, easy for children to tie and don't keep coming undone.
The upper material of the shoes is textile and they are a good white colour, but with the material being nice and thick they are matte and not at all shiny. The toe of the shoes looks like rubber as is the outer edging of the sole. This gives the feet a bit more support than if they were textile all over and also improves the design.
The shoes are available in Infant size 9 up to a 7 so there is a good range. Little Miss has been measured at Clarks as a size 2F and has these shoes in a size 2, so they are true to size. As with most other Next shoes, they seem to be nice and wide fitting and so haven't caused her feet any pain or discomfort.
WHAT WE THINK OF THE SHOES...
The shoes are very reasonably priced and very good quality. They have been worn in all kinds of weather and after a particularly muddy walk, we tried them in the washing machine and they suffered no shrinkage or ill effects. I like the fact that they can be worn with lots of different kinds of clothes and can look very casual or quite smart depending on the occasion.
I have never bought this type of footwear from Next but would thoroughly recommend them.
