A great pair of quality leather shoes

When it comes to my actual day job (I'd love to be with my horses all day) I have to dress smart and professional. I happen to work in a large law firm and I meet with clients on a daily basis (I am now on maternity leave!) and the first impression they get is of how someone dresses. I must admit that I am a sucker for shoes and I have quite a few pairs and regularly purchase a few new pairs a month, I can't help it! My excuse is that I work incredibly hard for both my normal job and I also work for my other half so he pays me in shoes! I think it is quite a good deal we have!

One pair which has recently made my wardrobe is a gorgeous pair of shoes from Nine West which I purchased on ASOS. I love Nine West shoes and I have a few pairs which are worn on special occasions as they are a tad too expensive for everyday wear but my new pair are ideal for work and didn't break the bank!

The pair in question are called Sierra Ghilly Tie Mary Jane Heels and as you can tell from the picture they are a lovely mary jane round toe style which has a tie up fastening and simple stitch detail around the actual shoe. The heel is slightly curved and slim and is about 4 inches high which is quite high and I actually thought it was lower when I bought the shoes so it was bit of a surprise when I opened the box! They are made of soft vintage leather which is comfortable for the feet. The sole is made of rubber which is incredibly thin so I can actually see myself going to a cobblers and getting them re-soled! They are tied by a simple black tie which is almost like a thin lace which makes these shoes even more dainty and petite in style.

I sometimes find with wearing high heels that after hours wearing them they can become incredibly uncomfortable but with these I find that even after a long day my feet seem to cope. I don't know whether this is because there is no platform which can throw you off balance a bit and the sole on these shoes is incredibly flat and thin but they are incredibly comfortable, the leather is nice and soft as well which I think makes all the difference. It did take a few days to wear these shoes in but it didn't take long for the leather to completely soften making them for me ideal to wear to work.

What I like about these is that they have such a simple but classic design and it makes a change from all the platform shoes which even though I do wear it is nice to have a change. They look great with a pencil skirt and even with a pair of high waisted trousers for work and then ideal with a pair of skinny jeans on an evening. They are incredibly versatile and comfortable to boot!

The Nine West Sierra Ghilly are available in black, grey or navy leather but I bought mine on ASOS and they are only available in black. My pair cost £90.00 (or should I say my dear other half) which is I guess quite expensive for a pair of shoes but the quality alone does the price tag justice and I do find it hard to get a pair of shoes which are still comfortable at the end of a 10 hour day! They are definitely made of good quality leather and I know Nine West shoes are made well so I'm pretty sure these will last me for quite sometime.

** Oh by the way, the photo on this review wasn't the one I requested but is of the shoes. To see a better picture just google the name of the shoes and you will get a much better idea of what they actually look like! **
