On payday last month, I did my usual thing of wandering around the shops looking for something to treat myself. On my lunch break me and my colleague took a trip down the road to Office (me intending to buy shoes for my daughter, and her intending to buy footwear for her son!) but we ended up trying on a few things and in my bid to buy something I tried on these and instantly fell in love!
They are a pick slipper type shoe, with a soft microfibre upper. The upper does feel quite velvety, similar to soft suede/nubuck but of course for the price it is not real leather. The colour in the picture looks slightly red (or is it my macbook showing its age? or worse my eyes?!) but in real life they are quite a bright fuchsia pink, although not too bright so as to look garish and unmatchable with clothing. They have a thin synthetic sole but I don't find the sole too thin, like some paper shoes I have owned before when I can feel stones underneath my feet when I am walking lol. Inside, is a polyester black lining and the shoes say Office Girl inside, which makes me feel rather young indeed!
I have worn these a few times, with skirts and also with jeggings and I think they are so multi-purpose they can be mix-matched with different attires and compliment different outfits well. They can be casual i.e. I have worn them to work when I wanted to look a bit brighter that day, and I wore them out to a bar last week (before I got ill *insert sad face here*) and everyone kept telling me they loved my shoes and asking where I got them from! They are so comfortable, and although don't expect a lot of arch support or anything, for me they were absolutely perfect and much more up my street compared to tottering about in some sky scraper heels!
I bought these in a size 5, which is my usual size so I find fitting wise they are true to size. I think I have weird feet in that I have quite long toes and my feet are slim but on my right foot I have a slight bunion which normally sticks out and rubs when I buy new shoes, but with these they fit perfectly and snugly instantly and make my feet look cute and petite which is rare! So of course when they ticked all boxes I just had to have them.
At the time of purchase these were £25 full price, but as my mate is also the Manager in Office I got them for discount with 25% off and paid £16.25. At the time of writing this review however I see they are now on sale for £12 so I am well and truly gutted! (especially since my mate gets discount ON TOP of sale items! arrgh!)
So overall, I totally recommend these shoes as they are cute, comfortable, stylish and so inexpensive. They also come in black, beige, and other designs which are studded and spotted, so I am now thinking to go grab a couple more pairs in different colours as I seem to have NO flat footwear! (Toms and Converses really don't count!)
