My youngest daughter is 2 years old and she is daft on Peppa Pig, my Mam was looking at the Asda website and saw these boots but found that they were out of stock on the website and in everyone of our local stores so ended up buying her a different pair. Amazingly for Asda these boots actually came back in stock so the other boots were exchanged and finally my daughter was going to get these boots as part of her Christmas present. In the end the boots didn't make it as far as Christmas as a month or so ago when we had a bit of snow and ice my Mam ended up giving her the boots to keep her little feet warm.

The boots are from Asda but we have found that Asda tends to be a problem with character items in that if you don't buy an item quickly once it sells out it doesn't come back in stock. The boots originally cost £12.50 a pair which I thought was decent value as they were not much more than a pair of boots in the likes of Wyndsors which is supposed to be a bargain shoe shop and these ones are of course characters boots, the boots have now been reduced to £7.50 in the sale however our store hardly has any left.

As the boots are from a supermarket rather than a proper shoe shop you can only buy then in full sizes and as my daughter is in a 5 ½ we weren't sure which would be best but ended up going with the size 6's in the hope she would grow a little by the time she wore them. My daughter has been wearing these for a few weeks now and the size 6's have been fine for her and there is not too much space at the toes however she still fits into her 5 ½ Clarkes shoes perfectly too so I don't know if this may indicate that these boots could be a little on the side of small fitting.

The boots are pink in colour which is actually quite a pretty colour even those it is quite a murky shade in my opinion, the boots have a lovely fur trim around the top which is nice and soft to the touch and none of the fur has shedded at all which is great. The boots have an extra piece of leather around the back of the heel which has Peppa written on it and then there is a lovely pink velvet feel bow on the side on the fur trim which adds to the prettiness of the boots. On the side of each boot there is a picture of Peppa Pig with 2 little embroidered hearts on too, my daughter loves pointing to her boots and announcing it's pig.

The boots are fastened with a zip on the inside of the leg which my daughter is unable to do herself with her only being 2 years old although she can manage to undo it but she never takes her boots off anyway so that isn't a problem. The soles of the boots are great and even though she has been wearing these for about a month now and has insisted on wearing them just about everyday there is very little wear to the sole. The zip is nice and strong and stands up to her constantly pulling it down and us pulling it back up although I have given up pulling it back up now until she is required to walk as it has turned into a game in her eyes.

The boots are very pretty and apart from red which they don't look right with they go with just about any outfit which makes them nice and versatile. The boots are hard wearing and I can see that my daughter will outgrow them before they become worn and they must be very comfortable to wear as it is the first pair of shoes my daughter goes for and she easily walks and runs whilst wearing them. The shoes are rainproof I would say but if your child goes jumping around in puddles they will eventually get wet feet but we found her walking in rain didn't give her wet feet. The boots are easy to keep clean with a simple rub with a damp cloth and she so far hasn't got any scuff marks on them so I would say the uppers are durable too.

Best of all my daughter loves her boots and with them being a decent price I would happily buy her a similar pair when she outgrows these ones.
