Peppa Pig Night Night Slippers
Advantages: Great quality for the price and rather non-slip
Disadvantages: A little difficult to get on
Hollie has unfortunately inherited my clumsiness and falls over constantly. Our living room floor is laminate and she seems to trip, slip or lose her balance constantly because she refuses to wear shoes or slippers in the house. She needed something with grip so I searched the net for something she would like and something that would have a little bit of grip.
These slippers have a plastic image of Peppa and her Teddy on the front showing Peppa wearing her pyjamas. They are pink with a velcro strap to hold feet in.
I wanted to get Hollie something with a back so they wouldn't fall off her feet or cause more accidents that before. I found these and another pair whilst scrolling through Amazon.
I paid £3.50 for these slippers along with another pair which were more like boots.
When the arrived I noticed the size 8 I had purchased seemed to fit her perfectly. Hollie told me they were very comfortable and she was happy enough to wear them. The bottom of the slipper has a concertina effect in the spongy rubber sole which will help Hollie with her clumsiness. I have already noticed a significant difference when she is tearing around the living room or dancing along to the theme tune of Peppa Pig on the TV.
The fabric is stiff and fluffy and is good to hold little children's feet inside. The tongue of the slipper is quite annoying at times as it becomes hard to do the velcro up unless the tongue is completely flat.
The back of the slipper is a little difficult to get on but once you have got it on, you can notice they are very sturdy for children.
The velcro is easy enough to pull off and on and even Hollie can do it now. She does struggle to get the back of her slipper on so I have to help with that, but otherwise, she loves them.
Why did I choose these?
I thought Peppa Pig for Hollie would be an excellent choice and she could enjoy wearing them. I also didn't want to buy something too expensive as I knew they would be grown out of by the time winter comes round and I would need to purchase more. £3.50 is an excellent price and I will definitely be buying more of these in the next size up when Hollie needs a size 9.
Hollie did complain that they weren't Buzz Lightyear or Ben 10 when she opened the parcel as she does like boys things rather than girls but I did mention these were much better and she agreed.
Where can you buy them?
I got mine from Amazon.co.uk for £3.50 (plus some postage) but I also spotted them a few weeks later in the shop called QD for £3.99. They seem to be the same slipper so if your popping along to one of those shops, it might be worth having a look at the slippers for children as these ones were excellent for what I needed for Hollie.
