Like a lot of little girls her age, my daughter is Peppa Pig in the brain. I try to avoid buying lots of relate merchandise, although this is practically impossible and even for her recent birthday, there were plenty of Peppa Pig to go round. One item she actually received for Christmas last year were these Peppa Pig slippers from one set of grandparents, who had asked me prior to CHristmas my little girl's shoe size. At the time she was a size 5 which was the size that her grandparents got these slippers on. Before this, I had had no luck in getting her slippers as they were either too tight, or too big and fell off, and she tended to wear totes style slipper socks in the house rather than slippers. However, these were a big hit with her.
The slippers that she received were identical to those shown above, and I liked the fact that the velcro at both sides of the slipper meant they were adjustable to tighten the slipper or loosen depending on need, whereas other slippers I had previously bought didn't have such velcro and were more of the slip on variety (never again!).
These are obviously very girly, and although I'm not sure where these were actually bought at, I have since seen Peppa Pig slippers in a host of high street shops from Argos to Marks and Spencers with varying patterns and varying prices! These slippers, as can be seen from above, are two shades of pink, with a little stuck on picture on peppa on the main part of the toy. The sole of the slipper was actually quite thick and I thought they wore well. The only disappointing thing was I felt these were a little on the small size fit wise and my daughter didn;t seem to last long in them. Once she reached a 5 and a half shoe, these were pretty tight, and I wasn't keen on letting her wear them any longer, much to her disappointment. In hindsight, it would have been better to have bought the bigger size, but then she may not have been ready for them until the Spring, when she would probably be less likely to wear slippers.
For the short time she wore these slippers, she seemed to be very comfortable in them. She never asked for them to be taken off when she was at home playing, and once she got used to walking in them, like any new shoe, she kept them on.
All in all, I think these slippers are pretty good. I think they were a bit of the small size fit wise, well certainly for my daughter, unless she has funny shaped feet! However, I wouldn't like to have paid a lot for them since she really only got a full month out of them, but they were certainly a favourite at the time, and I am now keeping my eyes out for a pair for this winter.
My little girl is a big Peppa Pig fan. She has loved this cartoon for about 2 years now and we have bought lots of Peppa Pig things. These slippers are just one of our Peppa Pig items.
We bought these in size 8 and they are a nice fit. They were available in size 8,9 and 10. I thought that it would have been better to have more in a smaller size too seeing as this programme is for young children the younger children with smaller feet would want them. Perhaps they had just sold out.
They are soft with a slightly bendy back so it's easy for you to get feet into it. There is a little velcro part which you can pull away and then put back on once they are on the feet. This helps to keep them on the feet and also makes getting them on easier. It is difficult to get shoes/slippers on a struggling child sometimes but this makes it much easier and more comfortable.
The picture on the slippers that we have is different to this picture. It shoes Peppa in bed with a teddy. It's a nice bright friendly picture. All very pink!
The shoes themselves are a nice soft fleecy material which makes it nice and warm on their feet. This helps keep their feet warm but also comfortable too.
Little B wears these a lot when it's cold to help her stay warm but also to protect her feet when walking around the house.
She really likes wearing these, she likes anything related to this pig so I'm not surprised really.
They cost us £8 which is not bad value for money as she wears them all the time that she is in the house.
I had to deal with the slight obession of Peppa Pig with my first child. Fast forward nearly 2 years later my daughter is in love with the characters and especially Peppa Pig. So when I saw a less than half price Peppa Pig clothing set, comprising of 2 piece pjs, dressing gown and these slippers,I couldnt resist.
Who/What is Peppa Pig?
For anyone who isnt aware ( and there must be just a handful! ) Peppa Pig is an animated childrens show shown on Channel Fives ' Milkshake ' programmes and Nick Jr and Nick 2. It surrounds the character Peppa Pig, a young piggy who lives with her toddler brother called George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. All of the other characters in the show are animals but who lead very human lives etc work, go to nursery, have picnics etc. Some of the characters are Peppas best friend Suzy Sheep, other friends such as Pedro Pony, Candy Cat, Emily Elephant, Richard Rabbit etc. Its a cute, well thought out and simple show that young children absolutely love and adore.
It has become so popular over the years that there are many products from the series available to buy:
All readily available from supermarkets, departments and toy stores.
How do these slippers look?
Perfect Peppa colour-Pink!Its the same overall look of the above picture: velcro fastened strap going around the top of the slipper.Light pink colour on the main body of the slipper, but bright pink piping just above the sole.Cute plastic picture on the front of the slipper, which takes up nearly half of the slipper itself, a picture of Peppa Pig. Mine is slightly different to the one illustrated. On my daughters slipper Peppa is in here nightdress with her favourite toy ' Teddy ' and is surrounded by a huge pink loveheart. The underneath of the slipper has treads, so very secure on all flooring.Plenty of flexabilty in it but remains quite strong and durable.
What does my daughter think of these slippers?
Loves them! She seems very steady in them, very comfortable and easy to slip on and off. They are alittle big ( as I bought bigger to put done, but never got the chance ), but the strap keeps them secure on her feet. The colouring and design is eye catching for a toddler and ultra sweet and cute. Ive even had to let her sleep in them as she refused to take them off.
Im not too sure whether anyone else has done this, but Ive put them in the washing machine numerous times to keep clean, and they are still vibrant in colour and in fantastic condition.
I managed to buy this nighttime clothing set for just short of £9.00 in the sale. But even if I had to pay that price for the slippers alone,I would say its worthwhile!
For Christmas last year my daughter received these Peppa Pig slippers from my mum and as they were too big at the time, (my mum's answer to everything is "she'll grow into it!" Honestly when my daughter was 1 month old she bought her an 18 month aged coat!) they have been harbouring around the house and now with the return of her peppa pig phase she has been wearing them non-stop, even wanting to wear them out of the house!
As we have laminate wooden flooring in our house and as she isn't a fan of socks these are right up her street! They are a light pink slipper, with a dark pink rim and a happy picture of peppa pig on the front. They have quite a thick rubber sole which is dark pink and this seems to give the slipper lots of padding and cushioning ensuring her feet are comfortable and snug. Although children are naturally born flat footed and their feet develop as they get older, this slipper seems to have slight arch support in the raising of the inner side of the slipper which means they are good for my daughter's feet.
Getting into the slippers is easy, and my niece from the age of 2 and a half (the age she got them!) could put these on by herself with ease. At both sides is a little flap which lifts to be secured by velcro so she can open them up, slip her cute tootsies and and secure her feet back so they don't slip off when she is running about the house.
As they are made from what I presume to be cotton and polyester (I don't see a label) the material can get dirty and I have to say I am reluctant to put them in the washing machine as I do question their ability to withstand such a wash and I fear they may fall apart!
Nonetheless my daughter loves her peppa pig slippers, and although these were a gift, I am not sure of the price at the time of purchase, but I have seen practically an identical pair just in different shade of pink available on the mothercare website for £9.00 and on Amazon for £8 which I figure is the average price now! I would definitely recommend these slippers for little ones as they are super cute and don't break the bank...the added bonus of Peppa Pig on the front is encouraging to get little ones to want to wear slippers! When my daughter grows out of this pair I have my eye out already for a new pair like this to replace them with :)
My daughter is a huge Peppa Pig fan, whereas Peppa and her little piggy friends drive me absolutely nutty. I was stuck on things to buy for my daughters stocking last Christmas and when I saw these in the Sports Direct sale I knew they would be perfect to help pad it out.
The slippers are made from a fluffy, fleece type material but at the same time are still soft and strong so maybe they have a more substantial material within the fleece. They are, as you would expect from Peppa pig, entirely pink in colour feauting a cute picture of Peppa herself on the tops of each slipper. The sole of these slippers is quite strong for slippers, usually the sole is quite thin but these are head wearing and my daughter often wears them outside if I'm picking in the washing or something similar. We have lino in the kitchen and my daughter never slips with these on her feet, the anti-slip underside is very good.
My daughters favourite part of the slippers is the Velcro fastening, she has been able to put on and take off her shoes for a while now but still loves putting on all her different shoes with a Velcro fastening, I think this is mainly as she can do it herself giving her a big feeling of independence.
The sizing is pretty much spot on, my daughter has one size 6.5 foot and one 7 and her size 6 slippers are just getting a little too tight now, there is still a little room left but they will be outgrown soon. I can't remember exactly what sizes were available when I purchased these but I would imagine they are from roughly a 3 to a 10 or 11. To be honest, by time my daughter reaches the higher end of the scale I'm sure Peppa pig will be a bit babyish for her!
My daughters slippers have been worn a lot! Since Christmas, at least every other day, my daughter has these on her feet while we are at home. Despite all of the constant wear they are still in a fantastic, cosy condition.
I think I paid around £4 for these. I'd definitely recommend them for any Peppa pig fan. They are cosy, stable and very hard wearing. 5 stars from me!
While in b&m doing some Christmas shopping I came across some Peppa pig slippers and decided my daughter would love them as she is Peppa pig mad. They cost just £3.99 which I thought was great especially as children's feet grow so fast so brought them in a 5 which is her size.
The slippers are a lovely shade of pink very girly and pretty and around the edges of them the rim is a darker shade of pink which set off each other really nicely. All the stitching in the sippers is perfect and really well made. On the front of the slipper is a stitched on picture of Peppa pig in her pjs holding her teddy bear.
The slippers them self are made of a soft material which is almost fluffy and inside is the same they are really soft and I expect they are extremely comfy this is the impression my daughter gives off. They seem to be true to size as the size I purchased for my daughter fitted really well.
The sole to these slippers is a lot better to most I have seen these really have quite a thick sole which means they are really comfy for walking around in and also have grooves in the bottom of them for grip which is great as we have laminate flooring which can sometimes be a problem with some slippers.
They have a velcro fastening and across this stitched in is the words is night night which I thought was lovely. The velcro is actually a slight downside for me as there is only a small square of it to fasten which can mean sometimes it does not stick very well. This is not too much of a problem as the slippers still sit well and it does not seem to make a difference there not fastened as tightly as they could be.
Overall I believe these are fantastic slippers they only cost £4 but are really well made and my little girl loves them as they are Peppa pig. I will definitely be replacing these when she grows out of this pair as I believe they are great value for money.
As any mother knows childrens feet seem to grow at an alarming rate, recently I noticed my daughters slippers were getting too small and knowing the rate she goes through them at I took her to B & M in the hope of a bargain.
We found that there were numerous character slippers available but as my daughter is a big Peppa Pig fan she selected this pair and at £3.99 I got the bargain I was after. I don't know what sizes are available in the range but our local store had from a size 5 to a size 10 on display.
The slippers are pale pink in colour with a brighter pink trim around them just above the sole, on the front of the slipper is a plastic motif of Peppa Pig dressed as a princess with crown, wand and surrounded by flowers. The slippers have a tongue like you would find on a pair of trainers rather than just being rounded but the tongue is stitched to the sides of the slippers. If your child has a high instep these may be hard to get on as there is not a high amount of give in them at first.
These slippers were really good value, there have a velour type feel and my daughter will wear them for hours at a time so they must be comfortable. The slippers have a hard sole so if my daughter wants to nip next door to her grandparents then she doesn't need to change into her shoes and as she is in and out of there like a yo-yo this is a bonus.
She has now been wearing the slippers for around four weeks and they are still lovely and soft and the velcro is still strong with no signs of weakening like you get with cheap velcro and all stitching is secure. The one complaint I can give about these is that the bright pink trim around the slipper is beginning to fray a little at the front but I would imagine that my daughter has been scraping her toes along the floor like she often does to cause this. Fantastic value slippers not showing much sign of wear highly recommended.
Peppa pig I don't know where that cartoon came from but she had my girls hooks straight away. My girls love peppa and her little brother george. The girls have peppa toys galore and even the bedding so naturally we have the clothing to match.
When we were out at the january sales this year shopping off coarse Hannah spotted the peppa pig slippers, I think it was in matalan or george at asda one of the two shops.
The girls did need new slippers and at £2.50 a pair it was a bargain.
Peppa pig slippers come in toddlers size 5 up to a size 13.
Peppa pig slippers are soft fleece material on top, they are baby pink in colour. There is an embroidered peppa pig motif on the slippers at the front too.
I liked the sole on the slippers because it seems thick and made from rubber like proper shoes are, also so tread making them anti slip.
These slippers have a back to keep the childs foot in the slippers and at the front there is a tongue to the slippers with a small piece of velcro at either side to close the slippers over.
The slippers look so cosy and must be comfy because my girls have not had these off their feet even now although they are nearly out of them size wise so hope to find the same slippers to buy again.
I bought the size up from what my girls needed as the size 7 seemed tight but the 8 was fine so to me the slippers come up slightly small sized.
I have had to wash the peppa slippers at least once a month as the light pink fleece gets grubby quick and each time i machine wash them and air dry them they are as good as new.
I love the peppa pig slippers a true bargain and a winner with the girls.
I highly recommend the peppa pig slippers.
Peppa Pig Slippers
My little one absolutely adores everything that is Peppa Pig, a character seen on the nick junior and Channel Five Milkshake channels. As well as toys, books and games, my youngster has a number of different footwear to complete the collection, including these Peppa Pig slippers.
We picked these up in the sale at Shoe Zone for £5.00 though original price was only a little more at £7.00, a decent average price for branded slippers such as these.
The slippers are in two different pinks, the main pink being a pale baby coloured pink with the trimming in a darker, though not overly dark, pink. On the front area of both slippers are identical pictures of Peppa Pig with the logo words 'Peppa Pig' above them. For ease for young children, the slippers can easily be pulled on and off and presses down either side with Velcro. To be honest, the Velcro is an added extra as these slippers come off and on without undoing/doing up the Velcro. The insides of the slippers, (from feel of hand as my feet are too big!) seem very comfortable and my little on loves wearing them so they must be! This is to do with the slightly fluffy inner lining and the thick bouncy sole. The soles are also a great non-slip rubber which is great in our house with laminate flooring. Another reason why my little one wears these more often now as many slips have occurred in only socks!
My little one has had these now for a little over a month and so far they are holding up well. The usual bobbling occurs after washing, though no damage is done when you put them in the washing machine.
These were bought for my daughter this Christmas. They are the typical peppa pig pink and they are very cute on when they are on. ( if you can get your small child to sit long enough to get them on)
As she is only a baby size 5 they do seem a bit on the large size for her small feet. They are quite difficult to get on as the opening is not very large. When she first started walking about in them they seemed as if she was bouncing around! I would definatly not purchase these again in a bigger size due to this fact.
They look great on and my daughter was very excited when she opened them this Christmas but they are not as great as they look.
They have quite a sturdy base and will wear well due to this, my daughter has not worn them many times but as they still fit I am sure she will get her moneys worth. I think they cost around £6.00 from Asda.
I bought these slippers for my niece for her birthday, as she is a huge fan of Peppa Pig! When I was younger it was Thomas the Tank so I can't quite get my head around Peppa, but it seems to be something a lot of little ones are into these days.
I wasn't initially looking for a pair of slippers, just a birthday present in general, but I came across these slippers in Asda for £6 and I thought it was a bargain.
The slippers are an attractive pink colour, which may rule them out for lots of boys! My niece however likes pink. On the front of the slipper is an image of Peppa Pig which is sealed with a plastic covering. This makes it easier to wipe dirt off, although personally I have put them in the washing machine when she is at mine.
I advise you to put them on a light wash - say 30 degrees, purely because they can become tatty if rewashed too many times. Having said that, they wash well for the price. My niece has been wearing them for 2 months and they still look good.
The slippers are warm and soft, with a fluffy feel to the inside. This means kids don't have to wear them with socks which is more convenient.
They do up with velcro, and are also easy to pull on and off so very child friendly. The soles are made of thick and sturdy rubber which prevents slipping and sore feet!
The shoes start at size 5 up to size 10, and you should certainly be able to buy them for under a tenner at a variety of shops.
I would recommend these, they are cheap and cheerful and not bad quality for the price
If you have read any of my other reviews you will know that my daughter is a little bit Peppa Pig crazy. She has everything you can think of - toys, cuddly toys, pyjamas, nightlight, flannels, towels, duvet, blanket - you name it will be somewhere in the house! So when she saw these slippers in Priceless Shoes she was practically begging to get them to go with her new Peppa Pyjamas. They were marked up at £5 which I thought was a pretty good price for a pair of children's slippers and seeing as she needed a pair anyway, I got them for her.
The slippers are available in Priceless Shoes and start from sizes 4-10 which covers a fairly big range. My daughter is 4 and a bit now and she can wear a size 10 (God knows what she will do when they do not fit anymore!). The sizing comes up a little big so they fit her well.
The slippers are the traditional Peppa Pig brand of pink - darker pink for the trim and baby pink for the main body. The slippers are soft to the touch and made of a warm looking material inside to ensure cosy feet. The back of the slipper where your child's ankle/heel goes is very soft to touch and padded to prevent rubbing against the back of the ankle/heel. To fasten the slippers on your child's feet there is a velcro fastening. It is not only easy to put on and keep them on your child's feet (unlike pull on ones which my daughter has always managed to send flying off of her feet!) they are also good in that they can help you to teach your child to put their own shoes on and do them up as it is so simple to do. So not only is your child getting new slippers but they are also being given a little independence and thinking that they are grown up.
The sole of the slipper is one of my favourite things about these slippers. They are completely flat and they are also hard like a shoe rather than cushioned. This design was one of the reasons I decided to buy the slippers in the first place as my daughter is able to wear them all over the house as well as outside when we go out into the garden. The soles are nice and sturdy and also hard wearing. They are also pink and non slip.
On the main body of the slipper there is a picture of Peppa Pig as Princess Peppa which is stitched on to the slipper and is made from a shiny plastic. I assume this is to prevent it coming off with wear. Above the picture is the words "Peppa Pig" stitched into the slipper in the Peppa Pig font.
I was very impressed with these slippers. They are well made and despite only being £5.00 they are made to a high standard and quality. The stitching on the slippers is done very well with no loose threads. My daughter absolutely loves these slippers - not just because they are Peppa Pig (though I am more than sure that this is a big reason!) but because they do keep her feet really warm. When she takes them off before bed, her feet are always really warm and toasty and she has been known to say they are "Super soft" on her feet.
And just when I thought these slippers couldn't do anymore for the £5.00 I paid for them, when I put them in the washing machine they came out as good as new. It is always a good thing when little bits and pieces like these can be washed easily as with kids they are bound to get dirty quickly.
All in all, a great buy and highly recommended.
My little niece loves Peppa Pig. It is safe to say that she is quite obsessed with the portly pig and his family who live on top of an incredible, if not slightly dangerously steep hill. As soon as she hears the theme tune for this cartoon she comes scurrying into the living room. It is really cute.
I am often stuck on ideas of what to buy her. I don't like to take her sweeties all the time. So the other day I was shopping in town, when I came across these sweet Peppa Pig slippers. I was immediately drawn to these slippers. Not only because they were Peppa but they were also pink which is her favourite colour.
I was really impressed with the design of these slippers. They has a velcro fastening. I thought this was a very positive feature. Simply because my niece is becoming more independent and will love putting these slippers on herself. I was also impressed with the quality of the slippers. I was thrilled with the fleecy material as I knew this would provide both warmth and comfort. I was also very pleased with the depth of the rubber sole. They looked very robust and able to withstand little missy's running and jumping around.
These slippers cost me around £5 which I have to say, in my opinion is fantastic value. In all fairness even if they were rubbish quality it would have been worth the fiver, just to see the sheer excitement on her face, when I presented her with these slippers.
Now hear comes the first problem. Once she had put these slippers on, she flatly refused to take them off. Que tears, tantrums and trauma while her mum tried to explain that she couldn't wear the slippers to the supermarket. She was in love with these slippers and she was adamant that she wouldn't take them off. In the end missy went, like a chav, with slippers on to Asda.
These slippers have really been worn well. But I have to say they have lasted really well. They provide great warmth to her little feet when pandering arouond her home as she has got laminated flooring. They also provide great grip and stop her from slipping. Because the soles are really strong, she is able to wear them outside in the garen on the patio.
I am now favourite and cool aunty who is hip and up to date on the latest piggy fashions. She loves her slippers and has worn them daily since she had them. Her mum washed them in the washing machine and where they had been slightly grubby, they came up like new.
My advice for any parents who have peppa pig obsessed kids, is to treat them to these peppa pig slippers. I was really pleased to observe on this page that they do blue peppa pig slippers for boys. This is great as my little boy loved peppa pig as a little toddler.
Sometimes when you buy well known character items, the quality leaves a lot to be desired, whilst the prices are usually inflated through the roof. However, I am pleased to repor that not only are these slippers as cheap as chips. They also offer great quality and soft fluffy comfort. They are also quite wide which is great as it allows the foot to breathe and move around freely.
The only thing I want now is to find a pair in a size five and then me and my niece could be peppa pig princesses together!!
I babysat my little niece a few weeks ago, we had her to stay overnight at ours. I wanted to spoil her and make a fuss of her as she hadn't stayed with us overnight before. It was a bit of a bribe really but I bought her some new jimmies and these Peppa Pig slippers. I had seen them in Marks and Spencer for £8.00 and I had them in mind for Christmas. I cant remember what sizes they came in but they were for smaller children, my niece is 4.
They are cute and pretty and very little girly. The slippers are mainly white with pink piping all round them. They have a picture of Peppa Pig on the front of them made out of a plastic type material. Above this Peppa Pig is written in pink letters.
The slippers have a small verelco flap which fastens them. This makes it easy for little fingers. My little niece had no problem putting these on and off and was very proud of that fact. The slippers have a nice rubber sole which ensures no slipping, ideal for those with wooden floors, Although my niece did go in the garden with her new slippers on she didn't get wet feet. I'm not sure how much outdoor use they would actually cope with, not too much I suspect but then they are slippers designed for indoors.
The inside of the slippers are very soft and cosy, almost fluffy. There are no nasty seams to rub little toes. The back of the slipper that sits round the ankle is slightly padded. This is nice because it prevents any rubbing. Very important when the slippers are more than likely to be worn with no socks, especially after a bath and before bed.
Over all I was pleased with the slippers. They have since proved to be hard wearing. They have also been through the washing machine a couple of times and came out looking as new.
I would most certainly recommend them.
My daughter is peppa pig mad so when I seen these in my local asda store I picked them up straight away as I knew my daughter would love them. In our house we have wooden floor and in the winter it is freezing. My daughter has a sock problem, as in she doesn't like to wear them! She has never complained about having cold feet but I know it mustn't be nice for her.
We have bought many pairs of slippers and she never wears them no matter how often I replace them and her socks on her feet she just won't keep them on! So seeing the peppa pig slippers I thought that with these there would be a better chance than any for her keeping them on.
The slippers are very warm and pretty looking. They are made from a soft fabric with almost a fluffy feel on the inside. They are a lovely girly pink colour with a picture of peppa pig on the front. This is actually made out of a plastic material so doesn't get damaged.
They come in a variety of sizes for toddler feet but I didn't see them in any big sizes or any really small sizes either. To guess I would have thought it would have been something like size 4 to 12. This is just a guess but it shows the gap of toddler sizes.
After matching the slippers up with my daughter's peppa pig pyjamas (the forever perfectionist) not only did it look exceptionally adorable but my daughter loved them and as a result kept them on. She absolutely loves prancing around the house with her matching slippers and pyjamas.
The slippers are fastened by a little strip of Velcro, this makes them easy to be put on or taken off, my daughter is loving her independence at the moment so she loves the fact she can easily put her slippers and dressing gown on in the morning before coming to wake mummy and daddy up followed by a demand for breakfast! I think if she knew how to make this herself and turn peppa pig on the telly she would have no need to pull the covers of me and throw my dressing gown over my head at 5:30 in the morning!
Anyway ... back to the slippers, I have only needed to wash them once so I can't full comment on the true test of the washing machine but they did come out ok that once and were exceptionally clean. I would suggest putting them on a low heat though as they do have plastic on which you don't want to melt over your washing machine!
They are very nicely fitted, I found with other slippers that they slip of at the back or bend inwards however these are great and as stable as normal shoes. My daughter has never complained so i am presuming that they are comfortable. At £5 these are definitely worth buying and have prevented my daughter from possible frost bite on the toes! Highly recommended!
