I got another pair of bargain shoes from my favourite shoe store recently, Cachet shoes, these are made by Poetic Licence and are named Faithfully Yours.
I first saw a pair of Poetic Licence shoes in John Lewis last year, who were displaying a small collection of their shoes which I thought looked fantastic and very unique. They immediately reminded me of Irregular Choice shoes and they are in fact their sister company. The brand Poetic Licence began in 2005 in London and their designs are based on individuality, a zest for life and vintage style footwear.
Their website says 'The Poetic Licence family is a group of girls who are loving and living fashion' and I think they are fab! http://www.poeticlicence.com/pls (They also create dog collars which look amazing and if I had a dog I would definitely be buying it one!)
Faithfully Yours Shoes
The shoes come in a lovely and charming sturdy cardboard shoe box, which slides open and is decorated in a attractive bright and vibrant floral patterning. You can slide the box open with the purple ropes on either edge of the box and there are also round metal clasped air holes so your shoes stay fresh in their box.
Inside the shoes are well protected with the usual tissue and padding, you also get plastic shoe horns to keep your shoes in shape whilst they are not in use.
These Faithfully Yours shoes are very fancy and a lot more 'bling' than I had expected them to be! When I ordered them online I thought I might be able to wear them for work, however my office is in no way fancy enough to get away with wearing these. The overall shoe colour and style is called pewter and the heel is a 3 ¼ inch acrylic heel. The heel is clear to the bottom and gradually blends into silver as it gets higher.
The base of the shoe is beige coloured with a cute little bow motif in bright orange across the sole, which is made of rubber. These shoes have a cleverly disguised wedge so that they don't feel too high, which is nearly one inch. You can just see this under the peep toe where a small bit of the bright pink wedge is exposed beneath your toes. The insides of the shoes are gold and pink lined with the Poetic Licence branding written on the base. This is also slightly cushioned for comfort.
The overall look of the shoes is described as a 'Jazzy metallics and island appeal make this sassy-sweet pump a dazzling jewel in any glam girl's closet'. These are very metallic and have an almost snake skin appearance and feel across the leather upper part of the shoe. The quirky detail with these shoes is that the outside of both of the shoes is a bright, metallic pewter colour and the inside is slightly different, being pale pink! It looks slightly odd when you look at them off, but on they look fab.
As mentioned the shoes have a very small peep toe and just above these is a lovely leather and suede flower motif which is accented with jewels. This has splashed of silver and gold and the jewels are pinks to match the inside of the shoes. I am sure they sound quite garish the way I am describing them, but they are not. They are fun, quirky and very unique. I absolutely love my first pair of Poetic Licence shoes and already have my eyes on another pair!
I bought these from cachetshoes.co.uk in one of their great sales for £25 down from £79.99, these are a size eight which are a bit too big for me but I couldn't resist them and they are still really comfy even though they are a bit loose on my feet. The quality as well as the style is amazing and I cannot fault them. Also available in Bronze and Black/White colours.
