Primark Black Bow Ballerina Pumps
Advantages: Lovely shoes, good for casual and smart wear, cheap!
Although I've been better off recently due to having a decently paid job over the summer this year, I've still been trying to save money when I can. Since I'm also trying to lose weight and didn't want to invest much money in clothes I hopefully would be too thin for soon enough, clothes was an area that I was keen to find bargains. I had a look in a few lower cost shops for shoes but didn't really find any. As I couldn't really justify buying shoes from somewhere like Dune (even though I often find lovely shoes in there) I was keen to get some for £20 or under. I had previously avoided Primark shoes as I remember girls at school buying them and them disintegrating in the rain or after being worn for about a week but my flatmate had some and recommended them. She'd worn her pair over ten times and in light rain and they were still in perfect condition, so I decided to at least go and have a look and see. On my first trip I ended up walking away with three pairs of flats, two of which were the same design as the ones I'm reviewing today, but in tan and white instead of black. I loved the first two pairs so much that I returned and bought this black pair very soon after.

These are simple but lovely shoes, which are all black with a large bow at the front made out of thin material. Flats of this style have been popular for years and I count them among my favourites, which is what attracted me to these shoes when I saw them in Primark. I like all three colours but these black ones are probably the most versatile, as they look professional and stylish with work outfits as well as being suitable with more casual attire.
I recently posted a review of these shoes in general, not just the black ones I'm discussing now, in which I said that the longevity of these shoes isn't good and that they're peeling away from the sole slightly. While this happened with my tan shoes, it doesn't appear to be a problem with this black pair, but that may be down to luck rather than this colour being better made than the others. Either way, I've rebought this pair and the tan ones to take to Germany with me, as I doubt that they'll survive more than another month or so.
Second only to the lovely look of these shoes is their price: at only £6 per pair, these shoes are exceptional value. I had similar ones (that, now that I think about it, actually weren't as nice as these) from Dune a few years ago that cost ten times that, so these are extraordinary value. The Dune ones were of course better quality and better made, but they too did fall apart after a few months so their extra life span was not relative to their extra cost. While I'm doing ok for money at the moment and could afford to spend a bit more on shoes if need be, I am very glad to have found such lovely shoes for such a low price. The fact that these shoes are comfortable from the first time you wear them and don't require any wearing in is also a definite plus point for these shoes over other, more expensive ones I've owned.
== Conclusion ==
These are lovely flats that I am very glad I bought and loved enough to rebuy. They look nice with both work and casual outfits and are an absolute bargain. Go and get them before they're all gone!
Summary: Lovely, very cheap flats from Primark
