Primark Black Bow Ballerina Pumps
Advantages: Nice looking, cheap
Disadvantages: Bad quality, no support for the foot
I used to buy a lot of ballerina pumps from Primark and wear them constantly, this was absolutely terrible for my feet. I gave up on Primark pumps but when I saw these, they were a bit different to the ones I wore and I needed a cheap new pair of flat shoes so I bought them anyway. They are £6 which is very cheap compared to a lot of other shops.
I like the look of these, they look like they've got more attention to detail than a lot of the Primark ballerina pumps. I think these look more expensive than most of the Primark pumps, they aren't plastic or too cheap looking. There is a black bow on the front, it's quite big but still understated because the colour matches the shoe. There is a gold coloured metal rectangle in the middle of the bow, I think it is a nice detail and makes the shoes a bit more interesting and not so plain. These shoes are very versatile because they are smart but can be dressed up or down.
I think these are true to size but if you have wider feet, I recommend going up a size. I go up a size in these shoes because it makes it a lot more comfortable for me. These shoes are comfortable when I put them on, so they're fine to walk a very, very short distance. They offer no support whatsoever and they really start to hurt the soles of my feet after a while of walking. These are terrible for the health of your feet! If you're not going to be walking much when you're wearing these, then they're fine. For example working in an office, going for a meal or just popping somewhere in the car. I do not recommend them at all if you're going shopping, walking to the bus etc. After a day on my feet wearing these, my feet were killing me. The soles of my feet were sore and my feet were aching, this is because they do not support your feet at all and don't add any cushion or spring, so your feet are basically banging against the ground when you take a step.
When I put these on for the third time, I noticed the sole of the left shoe was starting the peel off at the front and side. This got worse during the day and they didn't get worn a fourth time but the right shoe was fine. This tells me that they are bad quality and poorly made.
So, do I recommend them? I do recommend them for walking short distances or if you'll be sitting a lot. I definitely don't recommend them if you will be walking around or if you'll be on your feet a lot. For a cheap shoe, they are fine, they look pretty good and there are also usually quite a few different styles or colours to choose from for the same price. The three stars are for looks and price but I have knocked two stars off for the bad quality.
Summary: Cheap and good looking but terrible for your feet
