== Quiksilver Boys Flip Flops ==
Back in 2010 we were lucky enough to take the children to Disney World in Florida. This meant a new holiday wardrobe which contained a lot of shoes . Due to the heat , and the fact you can walk for miles every day round all the parks , I wanted the children to have a range of sandals and flip flops .
I bought these for my son who had his 8th birthday while we were there .
== Flippy Floppy ==
The flip flops cost around £14.99 , which isn't very cheap for children's flip flops, but they are made by Quiksilver so you are paying for the name so to speak, but they are well made ,so not an unreasonable price either.
The bottoms on the flip flop are a thick foam material typical of a flip flop. The strap and toe are made of a strong canvas like material , and are very secure inside the bottom. My son never complained that this rubbed or hurt his feet , I know some children wouldn't be comfortable wearing something in between the toes but it didn't bother him at all.
The flips flops have a printed design on the foot bed of the flip flops , bit pointless really as you can't see it when you are wearing them , but it lasted well , and only started to crack and fade when they started to become to small .
I bought in a uk size 11 , for my son who was a size 10 E or F at the time , as I think you can get away with a little more room in a flip flop . They were a very good size certainly matching up to Clarks measurements and fitted well and did last him 2 summers . But there is no stretch to the straps and they are a snug fit, so a wider fitting child might have problems.
== Thoughts ==
A great trendy pair of boys flip flops , well made , and comfy you can't really ask for more. Great for round the pool and it doesn't matter if they get wet , they don't spoil at all and dry very quickly . Handy to pop in your bag as they are nice and light , so when the children are moaning their legs or feet ache a quick change of shoes can often take their mind of it . And perfect for a spare pair for all those water rides we went on . Since our holiday they have had the usual trips to the beach and my son often plays football in the garden wearing them, when he can't be bothered to undo his trainer laces !
The only down side to these are the fact they are a flip flop so therefore have no support as such .
Obviously for lots of walking it's better to have a supported shoe and he did wear double strapped sandals for the majority of the time , but these were a very helpful spare pair . Had he of been younger or would of worn Croc's [ he wouldn't be seen dead in a pair ] I think they would be a more practical shoe. But if you are after a flip flop you can't go wrong with these and I will be buying them again for when we go back to Florida, later this year.
5 out of 5 , even fussy boys like them .
