Not so comfy, the Anti-Stress shoe. (Riekers Anti-Stress)

Advantages: Very comfortable leather top.

Disadvantages: Extremely uncomfortable sole.

When I first bought my Rieker Anti-Stress shoes I thought I was in heaven. They were very wide fitting (great for my feet) and comfortable to walk in with no initial wearing in problems. Now that they are six months old I am having real problems with them. After walking for a short distance the underneath of my foot near the heal becomes very painful. I decided to look under the insole and found that the rubber sole is like a grid, this has left an indent in the sole of both feet. I cured this by buying partial length cushioned inserts. The pain now affects the front of my feet. Again I have investigated the problem only to find that there is a raised 'nipple' caused when the sole of the shoe was in the mold during it's manufacture. As I am on my feet a lot during the day I had hoped that I had found the perfect shoe. What a shame that this isn't the case.

Summary: They start off very comfortable, but when the insole becomes thin they are unbearable..
