“ Brand: River Island / Type: Shoes „
My first desperate attempt at finding some plain black but nice creepers failed when looking in every shoe shop, but in Lincoln's river island store I saw these from half way through the store and thought they are the closest I'm going to get to plain black creepers, so I began searching for my size excitedly. Not sure if anywhere else stocks the dalmatian print creepers but these are from River island and retail at £35. I think for this shop it's an acceptable price but I know you can buy creeper shoes for £20 from other shoe shops and online.
=== Material and Design ===
The dalmatian print creepers are made of a faux suede material as well as the print in the middle with has been embroidered onto the canvas. The sole is made of a thick rubber but I believe this to be hollow and not all the way through. Unlike my red creepers the dalmatian print shoes have a smooth sole all the way around drawing more attention to the print. This has small rings in which the laces to to tie up the shoes. They're smaller than on my other shoes but still noticeable. A lot of people I know think these shoes are horrible or really weird but I love them, to me they stand out and are quite gothic in a sense. Despite the sole being several inches thick these are really comfortable to walk in and I couldn't really notice I was any higher.
=== Comfortable and durable ===
When putting these on I do the laces as tight as I can to take sure they don't slip on and off my feet. I still have enough room for my feet to move around but not be loose in the shoe. I'm a size six but these come in sizes three+. Like I said before standing but because the soles are roughly two inches I didn't feel any taller but those two inches did make a difference to me, I just couldn't notice. Walking around these feel no different to walking to trainers or something a little bulkier so they are really easy to walk and even run in. I've only had these a couple of weeks and only worn them a couple of times so these are in great nick, I have been trying to put these away properly and not sling them around like I do all my other shoes, just so they last longer.
=== What to wear with these ===
Creepers can be a pain to style with so I always find lookbook.nu a helpful way to et an outfit together with these shoes, so far I've just been wearing them with my skinny jeans or a black dress and tights because they really stand out, but I'm looking to change my hair colour again and I am currently struggling to find something that won't make the outfit clash! these so far aren't the best pair I've owned but I love them still.
