      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Bought these shoes from Asos, really lovely, good price, so comfortable, and they went with everything! Unfortunately both soles on the shoes decided to split all the way across within under a month without much wear. It was such a shame considering how much I loved these boots! But I'd be careful about buying these, they're not made to last.

These would make a lovely gift for a girlfriend, or any female for Christmas :)

I recently went shopping for a new pair of ankle boots as my old flat black studded ones from River Island I have had for a few years now and although they are still in good condition, I was just slightly bored of them and wanted some of a different material as those are suede.

I went to River Island first as my other ones are such good quality considering how much I paid for them, that I wouldn't mind buying a pair from them again. This was when I came across these 'western ankle boots'. They have only a very small heel and so they are very easy to walk in and they do not hurt my feet. I also struggle to drive in heels and so these are just right. They are available in black as well as a dark tan colour. The black ones have a silver chain on the back of them with a silver buckle on the side. The tan ones had a gold chain and gold buckle. I did really like both colours but after some consideration I opted for the black ones as they would go with more clothes that I have. They have a zip on the inside of the boots so they are easy to put on and take off.

These are available in River Island stores priced at £35. I have looked on the River Island website but they don't seem to have them available on there, but they do on ASOS.com, priced slightly cheaper at £30. However ASOS.com only sell the black ones and not the tan coloured ones, although they do have images on their of the boots in both colours so if you wanted to see what they looked like before you went and hunted them down in River Island stores then you can!

I have owned these boots for just over a month now and they show no signs of wear and tear. The leather upper parts of the boots can easily be wiped clean if any dirty marks appear on them. I did think the chain attached to the back of the boots (which looks really nice and makes the boots stand out more from behind) may make a rattling noise when I walked but it didn't.

The boots aren't rounded at the toes and instead are slightly pointy, which I always think makes my feet look bigger, especially when they are ankle boots. However, I have lots of compliments when I have worn these and as much as I think they make my feet look big, I have been told several times they don't! I wear these with a tunic style top and leggings, or with my skinny jeans as they tuck in nicely.

These are lovely and very stylish boots from River Island which I think are very reasonably priced. I often think shoes and boots from there are over priced but yet again I have found a pair of boots that are affordable and will hopefully last me a few years like my other River Island boots. These are available in sizes 3 up to 8, all of which are still in stock on ASOS.com.
