I'm not really one of these mums who buy shoes for their babies before they can walk, I don't really see the need for shoes and find that socks are perfectly adequate in keeping feet warm and think you really only need to buy shoes once a baby starts to walk as otherwise you are just throwing your money away.
I have seen these shoes in lots of posh baby shops and always thought they were really cute but like I've said above didn't really see a need for hem and so never bought a pair. I was quite pleased though when my little boy received them as a gift because then there's a reason to wear them because you haven't bought them yourself.
The shoes are made of a lovely soft leather and are slip on shoes so you can just put them on really easily without having to worry about laces, zips or Velcro. However this means that they slip off easily too and it didn't take my little boy long to figure out how to pull these shoes off and it soon became his favourite game. The back of the shoes have a elasticated ankle portion so they do fit well onto small feet and if you buy these for a young enough baby then they will stay on.
According to their website Robeez say that, "The best shoe mimics bare feet, by supporting - not constricting tiny growing feet."
Robeez footwear flex and bend with every step. They promote good balance and unrestricted growth, while protecting little feet from the world. From crawling to cruising, walking to running, for indoors and out, Robeez makes different shoes for newborns to four-year-olds."
This particular pair are gorgeous and perfect for cool little funky boys in my opinion. They are a gorgeous light-ish blue colour and have a cute green dinosaur motif stitched onto the front. It's a simple but effective design and goes with most boys outfits.
These were perfect for my little boy up until recently. He has now started standing up on his own and is almost walking and I think now it's time to get him sturdier shoes that will help him walk. These have been great as pram/pushchair shoes and do have an anti slip sole but I notice that they do slouch a bit and move a bit as his feet move and so I will now look at some Clarks shoes for him but I have enjoyed him wearing them.
Like I've said above you can find them in nice baby shops and I think Mothercare and cost in the £20 region.
