I bought these shoes to wear to work. They were to replace a cheap pair I'd bought that had lasted only a few weeks before needing throwing out so I decided to go for a slightly more expensive pair hoping for better quality. I paid £35 for them which I thought was a good price for the Rocket Dog brand which is quite well known and I believe well thought of.
The shoes are a basic black pump style with a bit of extra detail to the front. The front has a kind of wrap-over effect with a strap going across it and a little buckle at one side. I think they're quite stylish and I was very pleased with them when they arrived, they were just what I'd wanted.
The shoes come in sizes 3 to 8. I come up either a 5 or 6 depending on the brand and type of shoe, usually with flat pumps I'm a 5, but I ordered both to be sure and was glad I did as the 5 was way too small. The 6 seemed to fit perfectly when trying them on.
When I was trying these on and wearing them around the house they felt really comfy, but about 10 minutes into the walk to work they became really painful. These have turned out to be the most painful pair of shoes I've ever owned. I never get a new pair of shoes without ending up with blisters on my heels but these were on another pevel, they practically ripped my heels to shreds. They were actually so bad I had blister plasters with normal plasters over the top and then an elasticated bandage doubled up on top of that and there was still loads of blood coming through! It was so horrible that after a couple of days trying to get on with them I ended up cutting them open at the back just to stop them rubbing and after doing that they were really comfy.
I also noticed after about 4 hours wearing them, when I went to add all the extra plasters and bandages, that most of the material had already rubbed off the inside of the shoes at the back of the heel, which I just couldn't believe after such a short space of time. By the end of the first day the material on the insoles had come unstuck and bunched up at the front, and it only took a few days before the fronts of the shoes were looking really scuffed and they looked pretty scruffy really. So overall they're really poor quality and not at all what I was expecting for the price.
I really would not recommend these shoes to anyone, they're such poor quality it's unreal but not only that, they're the most painful shoes I've ever owned!
