Me and my teenage daughter have had many fights about her choice of footwear. She loves colourful shoes and will sometimes even mix and match some of her colourful pumps by wearing, say, one pink and one purple. Out of school she can look as ridiculous as she likes but within school she is supposed to wear sensible black shoes and has got into trouble for her inappropriate choice of footwear. I am a big lover of shoes, and after recently having knee surgery, I am not allowed to wear my yummy heels for a while, so I had to add more to my flats collection (like I need an excuse anyway!)
