“ Brand: Select / Type: Court Shoes „
As you may see from my previous review I recently decided to purchase some new shoes as a lot of mine were getting a bit shabby and I purchased the Black Patent Court Shoes from Select, I was so pleased with these shoes that I decided to also purchase myself the Select Patent Court Shoes in Nude, style wise they are very similar to the black shoes, however I liked the Nude colour as these would be an ideal colour to go with most outfits.
As with the black court shoes the Select Patent Court Shoes in Nude didn't come with any sort of packaging or in a box, again they were simply put in a bag at the till as I paid.
The Nude Patent Court Shoes are just a traditional shaped court shoe, the top of the shoe is totally open on top of your foot and they cover your toes, sides of your feet and the backs of your heel, the edges of the shoes are soft and rounded so that they will not pinch your feet as you walk.
The court shoes are made from a shiny patent material in a nude colour, this material also covers the heel of the shoes allowing it to blend in. Unlike the black shoes I purchased the sole of the shoes does not contrast the main part of the shoe, with these the sole is a sort of tan colour which although is a different colour to the rest of the shoe it does blend in much more rather than contrasting them, the edge of the sole and the bottom of the heel is actually black which does emphasise the shape of the shoe.
The bottom of the inside of the shoe is a gold colour with a small black label on the bottom with the name Select on it and the size of the shoes in white writing. The Select Patent Court Shoes in Nude have a slightly rounded yet pointed toe and a 4 inch heel, there is no platform at the front of the shoe, this area is totally flat emphasising the heel height.
The Select Nude Patent Court Shoes come in a range of sizes and as with most of Select shoes start at size 3 and go up to a size 7 meaning they are ideal for most people. As you may see from my previous review these shoes also come in a range of colours, patterns and also materials so again there is something for most occasions and to suit most tastes.
Caring for the shoes is simple, due to the patent material they are made from I can simply wash these shoes with warm water and a mild soap if required and either allow them to dry or dry them with a dry soft cloth, they do not really require any special treatment, the only thing I think I may need to do with these shoes is to get them re-heeled after just a few wears, I do find that thin heels wear quickly however I can quickly solve this by having them re-heeled with metal heels which will not wear as quickly.
Obviously these shoes are only available from Select as they are their own brand product, these shoes cost me just £10.00, personally I thought these were excellent value for money. The shoes are finished to a high standard and are good quality despite the low price, in my opinion these were definitely worth the money.
I have been extremely pleased with the Select Nude Patent Court Shoes, they are very comfortable to wear with the slightly padded and soft inside of the shoes, and the edges are soft and do not pinch or rub my skin at all. I like the colour of these shoes as they are an ideal colour to go with most outfits.
Despite the pointed toes the shoes are wide enough to be very comfortable for both everyday wear and evenings out, I can happily wear these shoes for everyday outings, shopping etc.
The sizing of the shoes is pretty accurate despite the cheap price, I did wonder whether the sizing may not be overly generous due to this, however this was not the case, I am a size 6 and these fitted me perfectly. The shoes are an excellent price and a high quality, I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone whether your require them for a special occasions or for everyday use
