      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Highly recommended

      I can completely understand that the general percpetion of bargain shoes is that they are not great. However, from my experience of shoe zone, is that the quality of the shoes produced by shoe zone are actually pretty good. Although I can see the point of spending a decent amount of money on really good shoes, when that isn't possible, shoe zone is the place to go.

      These ballerina shoes are available in 3 colours: black, cream and silver. They are available in sizes 3-9, which I am reliably informed by a friend that size 9 ladies shoes are a rare thing, especially when they are as affordable as shoe zone shoes.

      I like these ballerina shoes so much, that I have them in 2 colours, black and cream. I first purchased the black pair when they cost £6.99. However, walking home late one night, I stepped in a muddy puddle and by the time I got home, they were rather grungy and I didn't really fancy keeping them to wear again or putting them in my washing machine!! I went out and replaced them, and the 2nd pair actually cost £8.99. I think this highlights the popularity and the quality of this shoe. The pairs I purchased were in store, although they are also available on the shoe zone website for £9.99.

      The fabric of the shoe is all synthetic (upper, lining, insock, and sole). However, I would say that they are very confortable. The fabric of the shoe is such that I have never felt they rub or blister your feet, whether you are wearing tights or have bare feet. When I first purchased them, I also decided I didn't need to wear them around the house with socks before wearing them out to soften the fabric a bit! The sole feels sturdy considering that they are dainty ballerina flats; and it is also patterned in a way as to make them non slip and I have never felt that the grip was insufficient, even while walking in rain.

      The pattern of the shoes makes them a very pretty shoe to be wearing around. On the soft black fabric, are embroidered flower and there is sequin detailing which makes an excellent addition to an outfit. There is a small bow glued to the front, it's a fairly small bow which in my opinion, is just about the right size, any bigger and it would be far too over the top!

      The great thing about these shoes is that they are so versatile and work well whether you are casual or something a bit smarter. I am not the biggest fan of trainers; and I have to wear steel toe capped boots for my job, so when I'm just off out shopping or out for lunch, I like being able to slip on some pretty shoes, even with jeans. They really do work with casual clothes, even just to add a bit of prettiness to a casual ensemble! However, they also work when you add them to a slightly more smart outfit. I also volunteer during the day times for the citizens advice bureau, when I like to dress more smartly. For this, I often wear black trousers and a nice top; which means these shoes make a great addition to that outfit.
      The prettiness of these shoes is also reflected in the fact that I brought the first pair of black shoes as a slip on pair to go with a bridesmaid dress when I was my sisters bridesmaid. I was worried that I would be limping around by the time that the reception came around! My husband was just happy that they squished up and looked very inconspicous while he had to carry them around!! Also, I brought the cream pair for my spare flat shoes for under my own wedding dress a year later, for when the heels I was wearing really took their toll and I needed to change them!

      Overall, a highly recommended shoe.

        A brilliant shoe

        I Hate high shoes so always stick to flats to save my poor feet. While shopping in town I popped into shoe zone and had a look at there selection when I was drawn to these attractive looking flats. I have found that many flat shoes can be so uniform and boring so when I seen these I automatically fell in love with them. They are a plain black ballerina type style of shoe which lovely flowers embodied all of them. At the front is a sequin flower design with a bow in the middle. They are very attractive and eye catching but at the same time still manage to remain plain and simple which I love. I purchased a size 4 my usual show size and they fitted me very well. While wearing them I found them to be very comfy. I have had them for around 8 months now and have only lost 4 or 5 sequins which for the price I think is amazing. The sole of them are adequately thick as to make them nice and bouncy when you walk as I find some flats are really thin and you can nearly feel the floor you are walking on. They have great grip although this was not first apparent when you look at the sole there does not seem to be much there. As they are mad of Synthetic materials they can be cleaned very easily just by giving them a quick wipe over they come up as new again. I love these shoes they are stylish feminine but at the same time really practical. They can be cleaned easily and at £9.99 are a steal. For the bargain price of them I have had 8 months good wear out of them and they have been one of my favourites in my many shoes. I would recommend these to anyone. They say you get what you pay for and I am very pleasantly surprised with the value I received out of my small investment.

          Great shoe for driving

          My new years resolution is to stop buying shoes because I have way too many. It is known that most women love shoes and for me it is because unlike clothes sizes my shoe size does not change. Going shopping on one of my 'fat' days is rather depressing and I just end up getting shoes. Well now that I have too big a collection of them I have to stop buying more.

          I have recently started to learn to drive and I did not want to wear heals (however small) for driving. I haven't driven with heals but I am pretty sure it would be really hard to control the foot pedals with them on. I decided that I did actually need to get new shoes as my old flats were showing signs of wear and tear. The sensible thing to do would be to buy only one pair but instead I bought 3! My excuse is that I do not have any flat shoes.

          Shoe zone is known as a budget shoe shop and I decided that for once I would not spend too much money on shoes. They have quite a good collection of flat shoes. They had plain black shoes with a bow on them (these are the quite common flat shoes) but I did not like them much as they seemed really boring. They would be quite good for work, but I don't like wearing completely flat shoes unless I have to.

          The flowery design did at first make me think they would look better on a little girl rather than a 20 year old. But when I tried them on they looked slightly sparkly but not over the top. The soles do seem rather cheap and they have already shown signs of wear and tear but I was expecting this from cheap shoes. They did fit comfortably but after a few months of wear I can feel that they are becoming loose and stretched. I don't have particularly big feet so it looks rather odd. The shoes are quite soft and they are not at all rigid which means I did not get any blisters. I tend to get really bad blisters with stiff shoes so I was glad that these didn't give me any blisters. They cost £7.99 from shoe zone but this was on sale and they were previously marked as £9.99.

          Also they have quite a good grip which I was expecting as other flat shoes I have don't have any grip so that probably makes these shoes even better for driving.

          Overall this is a great value shoe with a bit of sparkle.

          Cheap and cheerful ballerina shoes that have lasted surprisingly well

          Although some good quality shoes are worth paying a lot for, I'm also a fan of the cheap shoe bargain, particularly if it's something like a ballerina pump, which I know from experience never really last very ling regardless of how much they cost. When I saw these black flower ballerina shoes in Shoe Zone for £6 in a sale several months ago, I thought they were pretty enough to buy but cheap enough to not be heartbroken if they only lasted a few month of frequent wear or 6 months of irregular wear.

          Considering how much the shoes cost I think they are well made, being made of a black synthetic material with little sequin flowers decorating them all over. In addition they have a small bow stuck to the front of the shoe. Overall I think these shoes are attractive, being feminine and classical because they are nice and understated. The sole of the shoe is made of rubber and I've not found these shoes to be particularly slippery to wear even in wet weather and the sole seems to grip the floor well even without a noticable tread on the bottom.

          The only problem I've had with these shoes, which is slight anyway, is that I actually find them to be a bit warm, particularly if I wear them without socks as they can make my feet a bit sweaty if I wear them for hours and hours at a time. Aside from this they are very comfortable to wear.

          I've run these shoes through the washing machine a couple of times in a pillow case to protect the sequins more, and I've found them to be quite durable, I think I've only lost a couple of sequins in 3 or 4 months which isn't bad for something this cheap!

          Overall I can really recommend these shoes. They were cheap, they look nice and so far they've lasted much better than I'd expect for a pair of ballerina shoes. For the price I paid I'm happy with them.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Well, well worth the money especially in the sale

          Shoe Zone is a great shop for affordable fashion shoes. In the same way you buy disposable fashion jewellery; Shoe Zone is not the place to go for hand crafted, long lasting shoes! But it certainly has it's place on the high street as you can for only a few pounds find a pair of shoes to go with an outfit for a night out or one off occasion, or buy some casual shoes to use occasionally.

          I have a number of more expensive shoes - my Ugg Boots and my Hush Puppies leather boots being in my 'last me years' category, but for ballerina shoes, I can't really see myself ever paying over £15.

          I was recently invited to a Baptism with my husband, but as I am nearly eight months pregnant now, I knew I wouldn't be able to wear heels for the occasion. I needed a pair of smart, Church appropriate flats, to compliment my black dress.

          So, I popped into Shoe Zone and found these Black Flower Ballerinas in the sale for only £6.99! What a bargain. The great thing about Shoe Zone is that they go to a size 9, I have large feet being a tall lady, and it's great to have that choice, though I found in this particular style (which I will wear either with no socks or with thin tights), a size 8 fitted me well.

          The shoes are well made for the money, I think. They are 100% synthetic, not a problem for me but if you suffer from sweaty feet or foot odour it might be a good idea to invest in leather or breathable shoes, or use a foot deodorant (I mention this as my friend can't wear synthetic ballerina shoes). For me it's not a problem though.

          They are black, and I only saw black in the store, though the website advises they come in beige and silver also. The shoes are black with sequin detailed flowers, and a bow to the front which looks to be glued on. The shoes are flat with a rubber sole.

          In terms of comfort I find the shoes very comfortable, even at this stage of pregnancy, and they look great dressed up with tights and a dress and equally nice with a pair of jeans, so I will be sure to get plenty of use out of them. Obviously they are more fashion shoes and not designed for long walks through fields, out in rainy weather, etc, but the soles are waterproof, and I haven't lost any sequins yet. Overall, I am impressed that for only £6.99 these shoes will easily last me to Christmas and beyond. I don't think you can ask much more from them for that price!

          Overall I'd highly recommend these shoes - I'd recommend buying any Shoe Zone shoes instore if you can, as I had to choose between a few pairs of the size 8s where the bow on the front had been glued on a bit wonky! Obviously you wouldn't get that choice if you ordered online (though they do do free returns, it's just a bit of a hassle). Luckily there's one five minutes from my house.

          In terms of these Shoe Zone Black Flower Ballerinas, I can't rate them highly enough, especially for the money. You could walk into any high street shop and pay £20 for these, without question. They look great and they're better made than you realise. Certainly they'll last me and I've even had a few compliments on my pretty, sparkly shoes. 5 out of 5, all things considered :)

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          NO HEELS PLEASE!

          Shoe Zone is a shoe store offering various footwear for men, women and children. Shoe Zone aim to offer excellent quality footwear at affordable prices. They stock various boots, shoes, trainers, slippers and sandals in different styles and colours. Friendly instore staff can provide measurements and fittings to ensure your shopping experience is a positive one.

          ===Range===

          Shoe Zone currently have 54 styles/colours of flat shoes available on their website. Instore styles may vary but there is certainly a wide selection with colours such as beige and white offering something a bit different to the common black. The majority of the flat shoes, are known as Ballerinas due to their resemblance to dancing shoes. The Ballerinas range in price from £4.99 to £14.99.

          ===Flower Ballerinas===

          There is a specific design of flat shoe available in Shoe Zone. The Flower Ballerinas are flat shoes which come in 4 different colours.

          *Beige
          *Silver
          *White
          *Black (which is the ones I have).

          These flat shoes are made of synthetic materials. They are described as being "Black Womens Ballerina Shoes with Embroidered Flowers and Black Sequin Details and Single Bow Trim on Flexible Sole".

          ===Design===

          Well the shoes are flat mainly but rise up a little where the heel sits. The shoe covers around the base of the foot and up reasonably high around the sides. They also cover the entire toe area and are rounded around this area. Of course the top of the foot is left uncovered and exposed.

          My pair are black and are adorned with floral patterns which are created using thick, black stitching and finished off with slightly glittery, black sequins. There is also a black bow around where my toes sit underneath the material. Not all of the shoe has patterns and some remains plain black. The base of the shoe is made up of black indents to grip whilst walking.

          ===Availability and Price===

          These shoes are available in ladies sizes 3-9 in Shoe Zone or through their website www.shoezone.com.

          10% student discount applies instore but these cost £9.99.

          ===My Thoughts===

          I don't own many pairs of shoes as I don't tend to go many fancy places. I am most comfortable in my trackies or combats which usually look best with trainers. When I was in my teens, I never wore flat shoes and always stuck to high boots and sandals as I thought they looked cool! Since having my son 28months ago, I have become more clumsy and can't seem to walk well in heels.

          My local Shoe Zone replaced Shoe Express and I was pleased to see a similar range being stocked. I hate to admit it but I have big feet..size 9 to be exact. Well really an 8 and a half but trying to get this size is a nightmare. This is another reason for my lack of shoe choices as I refuse to may through the nose for big sizes! I also have quite wide feet and don't like them to feel squished within an inch of their lives! Hence the reason that all 3 pairs of shoes (2f flats and 1boots) come from Shoe Zone..they do my size and at an affordable price!

          Last year, I was hunting for a pair of flats to have just incase I was asked to go anywhere fancy. At the time, I spotted the Flower Ballerinas and they looked so pretty that I picked up a pair. I purchased the silver ones back then but found that they showed dirt really easily. A few months ago, I decided to pick up a pair of black ones. Black is quite a common colour and I believed these would go nice with different outfits. I also own a plain pair of black flats as these are too glitzy for funerals and court (don't ask!).

          The shoes I have are a size 9 and fit me well with a little room to spare. I tend to wear these with thin black socks to pad them out a bit and to keep my tooties cosy. They cover the sides of my feet well though the top gets really cold..not so bad in the summer though. I wear these when I am going anywhere half fancy or just feel like a little change from my trainers. They don't look nice when teamed with trackies so I keep them for my long jeans or black trousers and a nice top.

          The shoes aren't very sturdy and the base does wear down quite quickly with regular use. This doesn't cause too many issues though it does mean they aren't quite as cushioned at the sole as they once were. As I buy the next size, I don't experience much discomfort as I first wear these. In the past, trying to squeeze my feet into tiny shoes has caused sore blisters and endless plasters so I try to avoid this where possible!

          Once I have these on, they feel light and comfortable on my feet. They won't protect me from anything falling on them and certainly don't keep the rain out as I discovered when I got caught offguard whilst wearing them. Certainly shoes for the dryer weather! Once my wide feet are in, the shoes do stretch to the side over time offering less protection. Walking on even surfaces proves easy and I can do so without fear of toppling over. The shoes don't offer much grip going up and down stairs though and aren't ideal on laminate flooring.

          The bow on the front has started to fray at the ends and is quite cheap feeling. The design of the shoe has lasted well with only a few sequins starting to thread off. The black doesn't show up much dirt but if I see any, a quick wipe with a baby wipe cleans it up.

          I don't feel the shoes are very well made. They are very thin and flimsy and the stitching in some parts especially around the top is shoddy. The overall design from afar is pretty and they do look nice and slightly glittery under a pair of denim jeans. One pair lasts me a few months with wearing 2-3times a week. This isn't ideal but to find a pretty pair which actually fit me under a tenner, I can live with that.

          I do think the other colours would be ideal for weddings or summer events but you can't really go wrong with black.

          Thanks for reading!
