Shoe Zone Button Knitted Boots
Advantages: Well designed, comfy and cosy, good low price
Disadvantages: They are not waterproof so not good in wet weather
It is a running joke in the office in which I work about the number of pairs of shoes that I have at work! I keep a pair of heels in my desk draw as well as a set of flat ballerina pumps. The reason for this is that I walk to work and I prefer to walk in something that has a good grip on the bottom and also keeps my feet warm. In the summer I am often seen walking into the office in my Havana Flip Flops and then will change to something a little smarter. The winter is no different and during the past few weeks I have been walking into work with my Shoe Zone Knitted boots. I got them last year but I have had to dig them out again and here are my thoughts on them.
As I am sure that you can guess from the above named shoes, they are from the Shoe Zone store. We have had one in my local town for several years now but it is only during the last couple that I went in there, I think I first ventured in there for some flat ballerina shoes and I then got looking at other shoes and was pleased with how cheap they were. The knitted boots cost me around the £7.99 mark and I think this is a great price, I only had visions of them lasting me during the one winter but they are still going strong.
With cheap shoes I sometimes think that you do get what you pay for but with these shoes I have been really pleased with the quality. There were several colours that I had to choose from, these were black, grey and pink, playing it safe I brought the black boots and they look great, although they are a relaxed casual style, with my black trousers for work they actually looked really good! I take a size 8 when it comes to boots so certain ones can look really silly, almost like canoes attached to the end of my feet but these actually looked ok, well at least I think they do! There were a number of different sizes, I think I saw them go up to a size 9 and they started at a 4.
The shoes don't have much of a heel, they are really flat to the ground but the slight black bottoms that they do have on them have really good grips on them, just what I need for the frosty mornings. I also like the woolly look of them, they are quite a tall boot but you can roll them down and wear them as a slightly smaller boots, they are quite versatile really.
I would be happy to recommend these boots for a number of different reasons, they are comfy and they really leave your feet feeling cosy and are comfortable to walk around in all day long, I like that they have some good grips on them but on a rainy damp day they are not so good as they are not waterproof. The bottoms are fine, it is not as if the boot has holes in but the material gets damp and then you feel the chill on your leg, this also means that if we have some snow days they are not great in this eater but I do come back around to thinking that I did pay a really cheap price for these.
In summary, I am happy to recommend them but they do come with the above warnings! I think that they are a good buy and look really fashionable, they may let the rain in but they are great for the dry weather!
3 out of 5 from me on these
Thank you for reading
Summary: A good boot but not great in all our weather conditions
