~*~*~ Shoe Zone Chestnut Toggle Boots ~*~*~
~ What are they? ~
A pair of boots of course! A very nice warm pair of boots at that. I like tan coloured boots or chestnut as these are referred too because I feel they go with more of my clothes more than plain black, I know that sounds a little strange as black is one of those colours that goes with anything, but I sometimes feel that black is just too harsh and it is that reason that I chose these in the chestnut colour.
I often pop into Shoe Zone to have a look at the kids slippers, but I saw these through the large window and decided to go in for a better look.
These are UGG style boots, but obviously a lot cheaper than the real deal. They have a foamy bottom and a faux suede upper, the inside of the boot is lined with a soft cream fur. On the outside of each boot you will find two toggles that do up with the help of an elasticated strap that simply holds the toggle in place.
~ Where are they from? How much do they cost? And what sizes are available? ~
These boots are from Shoe Zone, this is a high street shop and can also be found online at -
Shoe Zone is quite distinguishable due to it's blue and orange fronted shops. The one in my town center has been there for a good few years now and I have bought quite a few different pairs of shoes and slippers from there over the years, in fact I remember buying my very inappropriate very high school shoes from there when I was in Year 10 in high school!
I mainly buy slippers from Shoe Zone as I feel they do offer good value for money.
These boots cost a very pocket friendly £12.99 which I think is a very fair price.
They are available in sizes -
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9.
I bought mine in a size 5 and I can say that they are true to size.
~ Why did I buy them? Would I recommend them? ~
I have a few pairs of UGG style boots but these caught my eye through the large glass fronted store windows, they were simply hanging in pairs on a rack on the wall. They come with just a simple clip tag holding them together. The sizes were arranged on the rack and I easily pulled a size 5 pair down. I sat on the little stool and tried the boot on and I was glad to see that they were a perfect fit, they did initially feel a little bit snug but that is something I have experienced with a lot of these type boots and find that when you wear them in a little they come to find perfectly.
The day I spotted these I was wearing jeggings and little leopard print pumps and my feet were feeling the cold, and when I tried them on I looked in the mirror to find they looked great with my jeggings so I bought them. At £12.99 I didn't feel I was breaking the bank and I knew they would get a lot of wear.
I love these boots, you can wear them up as the picture above shoes or you can undo a toggle and fold them over, I tend to just wear them as they are and I like the look, they look cozy and warm and certainly feel it too.
From lessons learnt in the past I know not to wear them in the wet weather so I simply don't but due to being too busy gossiping and not paying enough attention I have managed to step in a puddle so I can confirm that they are not waterproof.
However on cold blistery days they do keep my tootsies warm which pleases me highly.
I bought these boots about three weeks ago and they have been worn a good few times, I had them on today whilst in town and then when I took my little one to the doctors and I haven't felt a chill all day.
I would recommend these highly if you want a cheap alternative to UGG boots, they look good and are quite versatile. They do a fab job at keep my feet warm.
I have also popped them in the washing machine after stepping in said puddle and they came out looking great. I also popped them in the dryer which had no adverse effect on them. I did however have to brush the furry bit on the outer side to get it looking fluffy again.
Great boots at a great price.
Thanks for reading :o) x
Summary: I love my boots from Shoe Zone.
