I love Skechers trainers and shoes! I first came across this brand 10 years ago and since then I haven't worn any other brand of trainer. Every year I buy a new pair and I love everything about them from their comfortable fit to their lovely designs. I have worn sport-style trainers, more casual ones, smart trainers, little shoes and even sandals and every one has been very comfortable and a perfect fit. The latest addition to my Skechers collection are these stride trainers which I bought from The Trafford Centre a couple of months ago for £40.00
Within this style there were about 3 different designs to choose from. The pair that I have are a grey-blue colour with silver detail. They look really quite big and chunky but once you get them on they just look like very comfortable trainers and the colours go really well together so it makes them look nice. I really dislike bright white trainers with a flash of colour, they look rather... well... chav so Skechers always serve me right as they have so many different colour styles to go for.
I have size 5 and they fit perfectly. They are lace up and you get two different options with laces- silver or grey-blue. I put the grey-blue ones in as I thought the silver ones would stand out too much and I didn't want that. They lace up well and the tongue is quite thick, you can choose to tie it behind the tongue or infront, I always tie behind and there's plenty of space there without it digging into your ankle.
I really like these trainers, from the moment I put them on they felt so comfortable and they are very well padded so your feet feel supported when wearing them. If I try on any other brand now I notice that they lack support and cushioning. Now you may think that you don't want lots of cushioning as if you're going to be running your feet may sweat even more but I don't find that happens. The cushioning helps your feet to be comfortable and the shoe itself has lots of air holes so that your feet breathe. My feet never feel too hot in these.
I find them very comfortable to walk in and very comfortable to train in. I don't go to the gym very often but when I do these are the perfect fit. They have good grip underneath them too so are very suitable and practical.
In terms of wear and tear it's hard to say seeing as I have had these for about 2 or 3 months now but when I have had other Skechers trainers they have lasted a very long time. Usually I wear them religiously for a year and they are still in tract if not a little grubby.
I am really pleased with these yet again and I know I will be buying more in future.
