Years ago, when I went on holiday to America Skechers were very much the 'in' thing and were only starting to take of in the UK, and it was on this holiday that I bought my first pair of Skechers and loved them. I am now on my third pair of Skechers having worn out the other two from continual wearing. My current Skecher trainer is like the one above from the Biker range, which cost me just under £20 in TK Maxx, but you can pay anything up to £50 for a pair, so it is worth hunting around for a bargain.
The bikers trainers that I have are actually in a gray colour, but very often Skechers produce the same trainer in a black, brown and sometimes ever white variety as well. To be honest, I would have preferred white but since the gray was such as good price in TK Maxx I made an exception. My biker trainer has a combination of suede especially around the base of the shoe as well as a mesh 'upper'. Like the photograph above, my trainer is a slip on, rather than being laced, which I find very handy, especially when I maybe have my daughter in my arms and I can simply slip my foot into them, rather than having to stop and get the laces tied. On the front of the trainer, for sheer decorative purposes there are small bungee type straps, which are quite different.
There are several other features of this shoe - the midsole is meant to act as a shock absorber, there is a cushioned insole in the trainer and bottom of the shoe has a flexible rubber traction.
When I first slipped this trainer on, it fitted like a glove and I immediately felt comfortable and supported in this shoe. Never has it cut the heel of my foot, even when I was initially wearing them and I was able to go for a long walk even after a few days of wearing these as I felt they were so comfortable and supporting that they wouldn't hurt my feet as as I walked, and I was right. These trainers are the ones that I always wear when I go out for a walk, and they are so comfortable that I forget that I have them on, and end up keeping them on all day even when I'm just at home. WHen I am out walking, my feet have never overly sweated thanks to the mesh fabric on the trainer letting the air circulate, and I certainly don't feel the stones beneath my feet if I come to an uneven part.
As I said at the beginning of this review, this is now my third pair of these Skechers trainers and I have worn out two pairs from continual use. I can wear them for anything which is what I like, I can walk for miles in them without any pain, although obviously if I was walking cross country they wouldn't be as supportive as walking boots, but still very comfortable. All in all, I can't see myself buying any other trainer whilst Skechers continue to produce the same quality shoe.
My fiancé Mark and myself are members of our local gym and go up there at least 3 times a week plus other exercising too so I do go through quite a few pairs of trainers. I rarely wear my trainers other than the gym but I still like to have ones that look nice. I have a soft spot for Skechers because I bought a pair with my first months pay-packet when I was 15, I'm pleased they don't cost a whole months pay now! Skechers started selling shoes back in 1992.
I saw these on Amazon for around £40.00 delivered and although still quite expensive I knew I would get my moneys worth from them. They are the Skechers Ladies Biker Trainers with butterflies. Mine are slightly different to the ones Dooyoo are showing, they are pale grey and pink.
The trainers are made from leather and mesh uppers and one of the things I like about them is the fact there are no laces. These have been replaced with elastic so you simple pull the trainers on and off with the aid of 2 little mesh tags, one on the heel and one on the front which has Skechers written on it. They give the modern look of having your laces tucked in but without the risk of losing your trainers when you move!.
The main body of the trainer is pale grey and the mesh is pink. The trainers are decorated with 3 embroidered butterflies down the outside of the foot. They are done in pink and grey, they also have swirly patterns around them in the same colours. These give the trainers a real girly feminine feel. They are really pretty. There is also an S on the side of the trainers. All the stitching is done in pink.
They have stripes of grey mesh material up the front of them, 5 each side, that the elastic lace threads through. On one of these Skechers have hung a little heart charm which is really the only thing I don't like about them. This is easily removed though.
The inners of the biker trainers are very comfortable, they are padded which is a real bonus when I go up the gym. The sole has a nice grip without being too big and bulky. I like the way they are cut away slightly at the ankle, I have had trainers that are too high round the ankle and rub.
I've been wearing my skechers trainers for some time now and can honestly say they have been totally comfortable from day 1. They never slip when I'm exercising which is important. I have never thrown these in the washing machine I always clean mine with a damp sponge and they come up as good as new.
I can wear these with or without socks and they are fine although I do tend to wear socks more of than not to help prevent them getting sweaty and smelly. Although most of the time I keep trainers just for exercising these would look nice if you wore them with casual clothes.
They come in several colour choices. Grey/pink, Pink/white, Purple and blue and white.
I love these Skechers Trainers, they are very comfortable, have never rubbed and look very girly. Although they are a bit on the expensive side I would recommend them, either as a trainer for exercise or for casual wear.
Skechers Women's Bikers
These Sketcher women's bikers are a light weight fashion trainer. I bought these towards the end of last summer in the sale and I have worn them quite a lot through the nicer months we have had towards the end of last year and this year.
I have owned quite a few pairs of sketchers in the past and without exception they have all served me well. In fact when sale time rolls around I always watch out for any bargains that are to be had.
I initially bought these as a trainer for everyday use, these wouldn't make the best of gym trainers. They are really handy to slip with no pesky laces to bother with and I have worn these a lot during the nicer weather and they were lovely to have on holiday. They look great with jeans, shorts and certain skirts. They are comfortable enough to wear for the majority of the day and they are great for taking the dog out, as I can pop these on in no time which is an added benefit with a puppy running circles around your feet.
They are available in lots of different colours, but I own the blue and white pair. These still look girly with the added touches of the butterflies, but they aren't as feminine or girlie looking as the pinky coloured pairs.
These look really nice and I have managed to keep them looking clean. These have been put through the washing machine a couple of times now and that have always dried up nicely and retained their shape.
I am a size six but I am almost always on the small size, I often find that slip on shoes slip right off my feet because they are a tad too big. These trainers fit me perfectly, which means that these might be a tad small or tight for other people with a shoe size six.
Although these are comfortable to wear they are quite thin and light weight, sometimes if I have been on my feet for quite a while I would like a bit more padding and support than these offer. However, I do really like wearing them and in the summer months they will keep your feet cooler than heavier shoes.
I paid around about £20 for my pair of these and I think for that price these are great little trainers. However, the typical RRP is £45 and I don't think that they are quite worthy of that price tag. They are well made and comfortable but they are not as durable as I would have liked, I don't think they will see much of next year's summer as they are beginning to look a tad worn out. However, I have worn these a lot since I bought them.
These get a five out of five from me.
I bought the Skechers womens biker trainers about 1 year ago from my local skechers discount shop, my mum has two pairs of these trainers in different colours and she recommended them as they were so comfortable.
I managed to get the last pair in the shop priced at £20.00 but when i got to the checkout to pay for them they were further reduced to £10.00. I was obviously very delighted with the price and its the best bargain i have had in a while.
I always try on shoes before i buy them, i am a size uk 7 but with the skechers i had to get a 7.5 size. Skechers are a american brand and find they are a little smaller compared to the uk.
My trainers are the same as the ones in the picture provided by dooyoo, They are mainly white in colour with lilac lace holders and have gorgeous pink and lilac butterflys. They have the skechers S logo on them and have stretch white laces that help to support your feet. The tounge is padded for extra comfort. They have a cute little love heart charm on them.
The soles of the shoes have great rubber grips, the trainers provide excellent support but i think they are only useful for everyday use and would not recommend them for the gym as they dont have much flexibility for high impact sports.
I do not know why they are called biker trainers because they are so feminine in design, i love the design of them and i wear mine alot and they are still like brand new, skechers are very well made and are of high quality material. They are easy to slip your feet into and comfortable to wear all day long. I would like to buy another pair soon but i will not pay the rrp of £44.00 for them.
I have done a bit of research and amazon sells them for about £20.00, they also come in white with red and black butterflys and also in cream and light blue.
I love my trainers and give them 5 dooyoo stars.
