Advantages: Comfortable, great fit

Disadvantages: None

Years ago, when I went on holiday to America Skechers were very much the 'in' thing and were only starting to take of in the UK, and it was on this holiday that I bought my first pair of Skechers and loved them. I am now on my third pair of Skechers having worn out the other two from continual wearing. My current Skecher trainer is like the one above from the Biker range, which cost me just under £20 in TK Maxx, but you can pay anything up to £50 for a pair, so it is worth hunting around for a bargain.

The bikers trainers that I have are actually in a gray colour, but very often Skechers produce the same trainer in a black, brown and sometimes ever white variety as well. To be honest, I would have preferred white but since the gray was such as good price in TK Maxx I made an exception. My biker trainer has a combination of suede especially around the base of the shoe as well as a mesh 'upper'. Like the photograph above, my trainer is a slip on, rather than being laced, which I find very handy, especially when I maybe have my daughter in my arms and I can simply slip my foot into them, rather than having to stop and get the laces tied. On the front of the trainer, for sheer decorative purposes there are small bungee type straps, which are quite different.

There are several other features of this shoe - the midsole is meant to act as a shock absorber, there is a cushioned insole in the trainer and bottom of the shoe has a flexible rubber traction.

When I first slipped this trainer on, it fitted like a glove and I immediately felt comfortable and supported in this shoe. Never has it cut the heel of my foot, even when I was initially wearing them and I was able to go for a long walk even after a few days of wearing these as I felt they were so comfortable and supporting that they wouldn't hurt my feet as as I walked, and I was right. These trainers are the ones that I always wear when I go out for a walk, and they are so comfortable that I forget that I have them on, and end up keeping them on all day even when I'm just at home. WHen I am out walking, my feet have never overly sweated thanks to the mesh fabric on the trainer letting the air circulate, and I certainly don't feel the stones beneath my feet if I come to an uneven part.

As I said at the beginning of this review, this is now my third pair of these Skechers trainers and I have worn out two pairs from continual use. I can wear them for anything which is what I like, I can walk for miles in them without any pain, although obviously if I was walking cross country they wouldn't be as supportive as walking boots, but still very comfortable. All in all, I can't see myself buying any other trainer whilst Skechers continue to produce the same quality shoe.

Summary: A well fitted comfy trainer that you can walk miles in
