“ Brand: Topshop / Type: Pumps „
I regularly go shopping in topshop, and nearly always end up buying something, although not often shoes, as i tend to think they are normally over priced for what they are, but when these were on sale for just £10 i couldn't resist. These are not the first, nor the last topshop shoes to feature this lovely dip design, which means the end of the shoes are a different colour to the rest. I love this design and on these particular shoes the dip in part is gold, while the rest of the shoe is a kind of very pale pink, very feminine and pretty looking. These shoes are leather, and i think the original price was around £30, maybe just under, so to get these for just £10 was a real bargain. Im not sure if there are still in the store, but if not then amazon and ebay i should imagine will have a few. The pale pink part of the shoe is lovely and textures, i think its meant to be similar to snake skin in texture. These shoes are around 6 months old, and i wear them very often, most of the time i wear them if i plan to do a lot of walking in the day, because i tend to stick with heels a lot which arnt very suitable for too much walking! These shoes are still going strong despite my obvious abuse of them, walking a lot in all weathers, which i think shows just a how durable these are. They come in a rang of size, made in sizes 4-8 certain sizes will be more difficult to find than others as they will have sold out much fasted. These shoes are just beautiful, they seem to be the perfect ratio of rounded v point end shoes, as they are pointed, but in a nice subtle way that isnt too dramatic, which is nice since rounded shoes can sometimes have the effect of making feet look shorter, and for those who have small size feet this can often lead to the feet looking kind of stubby, no such problem with these very well designed shoes. Not only is the design just lovely, the price very low, and the shoes made out of nice strong leather and so therefore seem very durable, but these shoes are so comfortable. They did rub a little the first few times i wore them, which for me was major alarm bells, but after around the 3rd time they were just fine, i guess they just needed wearing in, shoes i would definitely recommend.
I regularly shop at Topshop as I like the style of their clothes. I have rarely walked out of Topshop without anything, and last week was no exception. I had been looking for nude coloured shoes for work and I came across these fake snake skin pumps with metal caps at the end of the shoe. They were on sale for £10! The normal price was £28. The colour is caramel rather than nude and there is a metal cap at the front of the shoe. I like the shape of the shoes as rounded shoes don't suit my feet as they look short and fat with a round end. These are pointed but it is a softly pointed rather than a sharp angular point. I like the gold metal caps at the end as it makes the shoes stand out without being OTT. They are a little rigid and they are not very flexible but this is how I expected them to be. There not like some pumps which are soft. They are made from 100% Polyurethane. I didn't get any blisters which I tend to get with new cheap shoes that are rigid. They are really comfortable and they haven't lost their shape after wear. I have a tendency to cause wear to the front of the shoes but as these have a metal cap this hasn't happened. The faux crocodile material isn't patent but it has a gloss to it. I wouldn't wear patent shoes to work because that's too shiny but these are polished so they don't stand out much. Overall these are excellent work shoes that are cheap, comfortable and stylish.
Despite my rather large collection of high heeled shoes I do have quite a few pairs of flat shoes which have come to my rescue more than once! As much as I like wearing high heels flat shoes do provide an extra comfort and casualness to any outfit. More recently due to being pregnant I have taken to wearing my flats more as I do find them a lot more comfortable but I haven't sworn myself of heels just yet! I find that cheap flat shoes tend to be worse for me as their quality doesn't tend to be that great and I find that they rub my feet and they end up getting pushed into the back of my wardrobe never to see the light of day again. The one store that I do find at the cheaper end of the scale but do make good quality shoes is Topshop. I always find that they have a great range of flat shoes which actually fit nicely. A pair that I bought a few months ago is the Maple Metal Toe Cap Pumps. Now if you have seen my review on Dune Peers which features a toe cap as well I am becoming a fit of a fan of this toe cap feature! I bought a pair of the Maple Metal Toe Cap Pumps solely for wearing outside of work as I wear a lot of my shoes to work! I was immediately attracted to them as they were slightly unusual looking without being over the top. Maple Metal Toe Cap Pumps come in three colours; taupe (as pictured), black or green. I opted for the taupe colour as it was a bit more unusual for flat shoes and I am always buying dark coloured shoes! Maple are a faux snake skin style pattern which again adds a bit more detail to what would be a rather boring flat shoe. These flat shoes are made from a synthetic material which is 100% polyurethane. This makes the shoe quite sturdy but almost a bit rigid in my opinion and I did hesitate slightly when I bought them as I didn't want to buy them and find out that they rub my feet. However, the plus point is that these shoes are incredibly light and are quite gentle on the feet. The gold metal toe cap is hardly noticeable when you are wearing them but again the toe of the shoe is a lot more rigid and it takes a while for the shoes to bend properly when you are walking! As with most flat shoes from Topshop there isn't any real padding other than the synthetic lining in the shoe so if you are someone that needs support in your shoes then these won't be the best purchase as there is no support to be found! What I did find is that these shoes are bit narrow around the toe and even though I have normal width feet I did find that the first few times I wore them they were a bit uncomfortable and because the shoes are made out of polyurethane it takes a while for the shoes to give whereas if they were made of leather they would have softened up a lot more quickly. I do find these shoes comfortable now but I certainly didn't when I wore them the first few times as my feet were adjusting as well as the shoes I still find them a bit rigid but they are still in great condition (I'm trying hard not to scratch the metal toe cap!) and I have no doubt that they will last quite a substantial amount of time. I would just like them to be a bit more feet friendly as I have had a couple of red rub marks around my heel and my toes which does put me off wearing these shoes for a long period of time. As I said above Maple Metal Toe Cap Pumps are available in three different colours (taupe, black and green) and come in sizes 3 to 9. They are available both in store and on the Topshop website. They currently cost £28.00 which is the norm for flat shoes in Topshop. For me, I like the look of these shoes as they have lovely detail to them to make them a bit extra special compared to plain flat shoes but they are not the most comfortable and I will only wear them for a few hours at any one time as I'm slightly concerned they will rub a bit which is a real shame.
