“ Brand: Topshop „
My local Topshop had quite a big summer sale last month and these gorgeous vectras are one of the many bargains that I managed to get. These retail at £28.00 normally which I am not sure I'd pay seeing as Primark and New Look do very similar shoes for much less. The quality is definitely there though and they're well made so the retail price isn't extortionate. I paid £16.00 for mine which I was really pleased with!
These are studded slipper style loafers which have a leapord print design. I was a little worried that they'd look over the top or tacky when paired with a casual outfit but I tried them on with a pair of skinnies before buying them and I loved the bit of colour and detail that they added without looking ridiculous. These are a nice alternative to plain black studded pumps - they're a little less generic as it seems everyone is wearing black studded pumps at the minute (me included!) and these make a nice change. They're also much girlier but they still have a nice grungey edge to them due to the studs.
Leapord print is the only design available. I do like leapord print and the design works well, but I wish they had other animal prints eg zebra or something as leapord print shoes are really common, I don't think that this is much of a disadvantage though as the studs give them a slightly more unique and expensive finish. The studs are silver and quite chunky with a point to them. They're all over the shoe and they're spaced out nicely rather than looking over the top and hogging the limelight - plenty of the leapord print is visible. One thing that I like about the leapord print is the shades used - rather than being bright yellow with black spots the shoes are a more toned down pale beigey orange shade with dark brown spots which are defined by black edges.
The shoes have a rounded toe which I like and my feet look quite neat in these - I was worried that coloured loafers would make my feet stand out and look huge but they don't! The shoes are made from a firm and good quality type of material which is lined with a soft cotton material. They have a slightly (and I mean very slightly!) raised heel which I find an advantage as I don't feel flat footed when I'm walking around in them. The sole is a plasticy rubber material and it has grips meaning that these don't feel slippery when I'm walking on laminate or wooden flooring.
The shoes are easy to slip on and they stay on securely too. The material on the top of the shoes which rests on my feet does not rub and they're elasticated around the top and sides meaning that my feet don't feel squashed - they're incredibly comfortable. The inside of the shoe is lined with a soft fabric and the insole is quite cushioned. I have got quite wide feet so the slightly elasticated sides are a real advantage for me and I'd say that these are my favourite casual shoes at the minute as they're so comfortable to walk in.
They're easy to style and despite the leapord print they don't clash with many outfits. I find that work well with skinny jeans or my black maxi skirt and they make a casual outfit look more 'put together' if that maks sense! I got them in my usual size and they fit like a glove. They don't rub at all and although the material is quite thick they're nice and lightweight.
Overall I highly recommend these loafers - they're stylish, comfortable and suprisingly versatile!
